Back in the 80's Dolphin home games seemed wild and a lot of fun. The crowd always seemed loud and really gave Miami a huge home field advantage.
With the new stadium it just seems too far from the field that even when full of fans isn't half as loud as it seemed 20 years ago. Granted the product on the field is much different and winning takes care of most negative things.
Living in Iowa I haven't been able to get out to Miami to catch any games but wondered if there was any info out like studies that were done when the new stadium was built to make the acustics reflect noise back to the field to make it louder and more of an advantage to the home team. One stadium that I know did this and it shows is over in Seattle. Very loud there. Iowa also did this with there renovation.
Watching Miami for the last several years on Direct TV, sad I know, it just doesn't seem loud and I realize most of the stadium is empty but you can acutally hear their PA person loud and clear on tv and find this very sad.
