I got a call from the Dolphins yesterday informing me that my seats are being relocated to accomodate for the ad space that was bumped by the new scoreboard. Sponsors were upset that they paid for advertisements which have since been moved for the big screen. The new ads are being place on top of what would have been my seats (underneath the scoreboard).

Here's my questions:

1) They've offered me two seats in the first row of the upper deck. Now I've noticed there is a guard rail of sorts on the facade of the upper deck. Can anyone who has sat in the first row tel me if that railing is a visual distraction when you're sitting in your seat?

2) I originally picked the seats because they were going to provide me adequate shade for the game. Where's the next best place to be in the upper deck. I realize there are few, if any, places to escape the rays. any advice would help.

thanks

what section?

In 442 I would not recommend it because TV cameras may interfere with your vieweing.

the new seats would be in one of the corners, (448-451), behind where homeplate is for the marlins.

did you go to the Miami Dolphins web site and put you seat into the viewing program?? I just did, they look pretty good to me. Anothet thing, if you research "A Wing Pilot", you will find his "shade map" that may help with that issue...good luck Dolphan !

I just sat in the first row of the upper deck just to the right of home plate at a Marlins game and the rail and these wires crossing the rail were very obstructive. I don't know if those wires will be there come Dolphins season (even without them the rails got in the way) but I would bet they will. I also don't know if it is the same the next section or two over (where you will be), but I would think so. I would suggest sitting a couple of rows back.

1st row of the 400 sections

I work @ publix and got a ticket for the KC game last season and it was on the last row of the top, literally next to the wall of the nose bleed section :tantrum:I managed to move my way down to the 1st row of the top bowl which is the seat you are asking about. Besides having drunk people talking nonsense, there are wires that run across and the safety rail. If you are sitting a couple of seat up like row 5 or 6, this should not be a problem. It bothered me when the ball was on one side of the field and I could not see the action because of a tube!:fire:

I Would rather take a seat a little higher, you can move down anyway because there are alot of empty seats of people not making it to the game

Thanks guys for the sound advice. I'm thinking I'm in a good part of the upper bowl, but i need to move up a few rows, and maybe over to 447.

heres the shade map

A Wing - Your shade map is brilliant. I'm a little unclear on your numbers though. Does 1/2 mean there is shade for half the game, half a quarter, quarters 1 and 2? I saw it on your original post and I was going to ask you this.

IMO take the seats Bro!

I have sideline upper deck seats and have been trying to move into 1st row upper deck seats every single year.

The guard rail isn't a visual hamper at all IMO.
I bought seats in the 1st row upper deck for the Colts playoff game years ago and I have been hooked on those seats ever since. You can lean up on that guard rail and you have the best view of the field possible.

As for getting away from the sun, you're not going to find that anywhere but Club Level.
Seating on the Home field side (East) gets some shade from direct sunlight but that's it.

Hmmm, those wires weren't where I was sitting I didn't have any line of sight obstacles. Just a wide open view.

Guess you really have to get in there and see the seats to make a good decision.

My advise would be to come join the rest of the 74,000 for some fun in the SUN! :D

There is only a limited ammount of shade throughout the stadium anyway. I actually picked my seats so there was absolutely no shade involved. I always get lazy in the shade.

just make good use of those seats. if i didnt jump down i was going to have second row upper level and i was excited about that. id take the rail seats

Trekbiz's comment got me thinking, you probably had a more difficult time with the railing because you were at a baseball game, where the fans attention is focused between the pitchers mound and home plate for most of the game. On the football field, the mound's location falls around the 15 yard line just in bounds, and home plate is out of bounds. With the sidelines being so wide it would probably be OK most of the time.
