I couldn't watch the game last night since I had a bunch of month end work to do, but who stood out? How did Xavian, Kenyan, Doughty, and the other young guys look?

Drake looks promising as a match up weapon.

McCain and Lippett had gorgeous INTs.

Finally, I'll never call Daniel Thomas "Danielle" again after the hit and forced fumble he put on the punt returner.

Kenyan flashed. Had a really nice route that turned into an intermediate reception from Doughty, and a nifty 3 yd run that should have been a 6 yard loss. Also showed good speed on kick returns. Xavian looked solid. Actually Lippett played fairly well. His pick was a thing of beauty, though if his coverage had been better on the play, the ball would never had been thrown. Regardless he recovered well, and his length for a CB showed on that play. The 3rd TE Gray played fairly well. They line him up at H-back some. Had a couple catches and a decent block. Carroo had a nice catch for a first down, and Rashawn Scott got open several times though Dysert got picked underthrowing him in the endzone. IMHO Scott would be a good PS candidate.

I wonder if the special teams play helps Thomas make the squad. That was a beautiful hit.

You know who else looked pretty good last night. The backup tackle, Ulrick John. WAY better than the other backup tackle options (Sam Young, Thomas, and Turner). He's been pretty solid all preseason. I think the only downside to him is he looks to lack versatility across the line. Swing tackle only.

Gorgeous INTs!! I missed the hit on the punter by Thomas though...

ah - it was one of those where the return man gets knocked into next week and coughs the ball up - never saw the hit coming. I think they have the play on NFL.com if you go to the game highlights.
