Per PFT so don't put to much stock into this:

STANTON LEAPFROGGING QUINN?
One of the darlings of the scouting combine is Michigan State quarterback Drew Stanton. Word is that several teams now consider Stanton to be ahead of Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn, due in large part to great interviews with teams in Indy, and strong overall intangibles.
While no one doubts that Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis has prepared Quinn to play quarterback in a pro-style offense, there are questions about whether he possesses the leadership abilities to be successful in the NFL.
As we've previously heard, there also are questions about Quinn's ability to perform on a big stage, and some concerns about whether he wants to be a Hollywood type or whether he is committed to being the best football player he can be. Similar questions knocked Matt Leinart down to the tenth overall spot in the 2006 draft.
So don't be surprised if Stanton gets drafted after JaMarcus Russell of LSU, and prior to Quinn.

Somebody is obviously looking for attention. Leadership qualities? Are you kidding me??? I mean, I can see it for things like scrambling ability/throwing on the run/arm strength....but leadership abilities? You're talking about leadership abilities?? (ala Jim Mora/Allen Iverson)

But seriously, that would be one of the negatives of mine on Stanton is his leadership ability. MSU crumples up after the Notre Dame game every year, and it's not just his team. Stanton gets progressively worse every year as the year goes on, and I know he's said some boneheaded things off the field as well (ask any Michigan fan what they think of Stanton...they'll tell ya).

If anybody saw the Michigan State-ND game, they saw which field general was the fearless one and responded positively to adversity, and which one folded up shop when things got tough.

if you watch that skill competition on espn its clear Stanton has potential to be very good...If we could get him in the second it would be a crazy steal.......

I hope that this angle is played for all it's worth all the way up to the draft. Let Quinn fall, let him.

you dont draft someone in the 2nd who has potential to very good. but highly unlikely. stanton is nothing more then a project. you dont draft projects in the 2nd.

Ssh! Someone will hear you, and then Quinn will go higher than #9 ;)

Remember last year there was a lot of talk about cutler leapfrogging leinart. Everyone loves the hype of the combine and i have no doubt stanton's stock will skyrocket, but there is no way he is going to be the second qb selected.

And those supposed concers about quinn are BS. Not dedicated? I wonder where they came up with that. Hollywood type? That's why he wants to play in cleveland... it's basically hollywood 2, right?

Quinn is a leader, he is a student of the game, he is dedicated, and he has all the skill to be the first qb selected. There is no way stanton gets picked first.

This story is frankly, a disgrace. Anyone who claims Quinn is trying to be 'Hollywood' is a fool. Quinn works so hard off the field to be untrue.

Bad example, because Cutler came extremely close to doing so.

i actually have not been impressed with drew stanton's arm

hahahahahahahaha

Brady Quinn works harder than any Quarterback in the draft Ive seen.. He is killing himself getting ready, and he's a real student of the game. This article is such bogus crap that it annoys me, because now people are going to say we need to draft edit: Drew Stanton with our 9th

sorry, brain fart, put Brady Quinn instead of Drew Stanton.

If Miami got Brady Quinn Id be absolutely thrilled
