Assuming the Suh deal goes through as expected, the Dolphins plan to part way with Randy Starks, I have been told.


Overpaid last year as he declined, but Randy was a damn good player for us
 
Makes sense. Still got Mitchell and Francis at DT. Vernon plays alot at DT too in the speed package
 
Expected. I'll always remember starks as the dude who flipped off the sidelines.
 
hate to see him go but we got a huge upgrade in DT once the SUH deal is done...best of luck to you Starks
 
Was a very good signing several years ago, I think he was one of the first moves Parcells made. He was a player that exploded for Miami becoming one of the better DTs in the league. Unfortunately for Randy Starks, father time catches up with everyone and he just isn't the same player he once was. He was a mainstay for our defense for a number of years, but it was right to move on.
 
I'm intrigued by Francis. Guy has flashed at times. Hopefully this is the year he stays healthy and puts it all together. He could be very disruptive playing next to someone like Suh.
 
We have to respect what Starks did for us, he was a class act the entire way and a great pickup from Parcells. Sad to see him go however I much prefer SUH. I feel like the guy in high school who just ditched the valedictorian for the cheerleading captain!

Sure. He's quick off the ball and has the body type to be a great dt. Those things can't be taught. I've seen more positive out of Francis than Dion Jordan. He may not develop into anything but I'm leaning towards him being a good player for us.
 
Francis has flashed alot of good things its one thing to be cautious its another to just write him off. He isn't going to be our only back up relax
 
DTs sometimes take time to develop. Even Soliai took a few years. I'm looking forward to see what Francis and Anthony Johnson can do.
