This looks like at least a 2 or 3-year project on offense. After that time these guys on defense will have very little of their primes left. At that point you're talking about a one-year window of opportunity at best. Why not start trading players like Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, and Patrick Surtain and load up on draft picks? Scrap this mess from the bottom all the way up and start over.
 
We need to, by the time this team is fully rebuilt and ready to go agian they will be either old or on other teams anyway.
 
I agree get rid of some Defensive players but none of the ones you stated.I say Surtain goes,Knight goes via release,Timbo due to health,Seau is done.
 
This year we should definatley dangle some big names out there...And try to get some good talent on the Offensive line. Trade only for offensive lineman, or high draft picks...WE should round up as many picks as we can so we can have a monster draft waiting for our new coach.

This really won't be done til we get a new HC in the offseason.
 
I'd like to hand Scott Pioli and Charlie Weis (or Crennell) the 1st pick in the draft and all this talent on defense and see what they can do with it within 3 years. The rest of this season should be devoted to loading up on ammo for the new coach and GM.
 
Maybe if we actually build a good O-Line we wont need a superstar in every defense position to even try to win games. We have a great defense but the offense is too far below to even out right now.

Exactly!! THese guys know what they're doing over there...as much as I hate to say it....THe Pats organization is...."ROCK-SOLID":lol:
