PFT Reports ... "Are Redskins tanking to draft a quarterback?"
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/12/19/are-redskins-tanking-to-draft-a-quarterback/

Says the Redskins may start Rex Grossman with John Beck his backup, making McNabb 3rd String ... Warren Sapp says they're tanking for a Top 5 Draft Pick to get a QB.

Made me think ... NO ONE TANS like OUR GUY CHAD HENNE ... No One!! Tanking 'R Us!!

Will Starting Chad Henne to tank the games give us a better Draft Pick & a shot at a QB? .... You betcha!!

Go Henne!! All the sudden, there is Hope!! :lol2:

He gives us a better chance than Thigpen. Keeping Dan Henning is probably the best tanker.

Well Sapp is an idiot. And obviously, the skins are a better team with Grossman in there. They scored 30 points today.

Shanahan admitted today in the postgame conference that once they were eliminated officially(last week) he wanted to look at Grossman and perhaps even Beck. All the guy is doing is assessing the talent he has on the roster. He knows McNabb isnt going to cut it, so he is looking at what else he has going forward. He will make decisions at QB in the offseason and knowing how good his players are will help in doing that.

We already know what else we have. We have a guy who is good but, cant play because his shoulder is destroyed. We have a total bum and a total bum. There is no need for us to see Thigpen. We've seen enough. There is no need to look at Henne either, but someone has to start the games. We cant just forfiet.

The redskins arent throwing games. They are assessing talent. They have a leader in charge who is in control and knows what he is doing. He is making a plan. That plan does not include McNabb, who he already knows completely blows.

We on the other hand are led by a bunch of clueless bums who have no idea what they have(hence keeping Wake down last year) and have no idea where they are going. But, they do know we have NOTHING at QB right now.

WV has this one right. If they wanted to tank, they'd play beck, or stay with McNabb. Grossman knows that offense inside out, and it showed today. Frankly, he may very well be their starter next year if he plays well the next two weeks.

He's better than any QB we have had in years not counting the one with the destroyed shoulder.

I don't know why our coaches don't do the same. I'm curious what Thigpen's talent is since starting in KC. Don't believe Chicago was a fair assessment, coming in cold without a week of preparation reps, against a stiff Defense.

Coaches see him in practice every week, but we fans have no idea. Is he even worth a roster spot if we have some draft picks, or pick up a developing 2nd-4th year guy?

P.S. My original post is tongue-in-cheek, although ... Henne definitely will help us draft higher ... but when tanking comes up, NO ONE can OUT TANK our boy!! :hump:
