I have been watching the offensive snaps from the Dallas game as second time. Both Tunsil and Bushrod are very good in pass protection . Not surprising for converted tackles. Also, both Tunsil and Bushrod timing is off in the running game. Again, not surprising for converted offensive tackles I am starting to believe we may finally have an offensive line that will allow us to be consistent on offense.

Unfortunately it seems they can never stay healthy.

Not sure if the OP it's being sarcastic. When Marino was the QB the oline could pass block but they sucked at run blocking. We need balance but right now they can't run block

Ozzy rules

Its probably gonna be very one dimensional but hey thats better than dreadful in both phases

the only problem is you still got to be able to run the rock when teams drop extras into coverage...although if the pass pro is actually top shelf teams are gonna blitz to get to the qb and if tanny sees it he will make them pay for it

run blocking work in progress pass pro solid out the gate

Whats being left out in all of this is dion sims...who is one of the top tight ends in football as a blocker in both phases...

They arent gonna bench jordan cameron hes the move mismatch tight end on this team but if they can easily go to more dion sims on early downs run over cameron

Although with that no huddle tempo assuming we stick with it it will be by the series not so much down and distance based

The other option is running out there with a 3rd tackle if need be but thats usually for a half and doesnt come out of no huddle tempo

I am not of the opinion that Dion Sims is a quality TE. No red zone threat. Telegraphs. Not quality hands. No separation in routes. I'd rather play any of our OT's over Sims. J.A.G.

Sims has a reputation for being a good blocker, but I must admit I have not reviewed tape on him.

Yes, a line that does both well is better. I believe that Tunsil and Bushrod may grow into the run game, but we are better off having good pass blocking.

Again sims isnt your mismatch tight end...hes a primary in line guy that is one of the best blocking tight ends in football...in the passing game hes more your underneath routes and flats guy

Soft hands though for a in line tight end

His role has nothing to do with camerons who is here to be the mismatch vs coverage tight end...and who to date has not gotten it done

DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID!!! Dallas' Defense, ESPECIALLY the D line, is atrocious. A bottom 5 O line SHOULD be able to hold up against that defense.

I'm hopeful that this is a sign of improvement, but this game did little else but sell hopes and dreams.

This is possible too...there might be some fools gold off that dallas performance...especially when it comes to the ability to anchor vs strength on the interior with bushrod and tunsil (tackles playing guard)

Sure wish we had a preseason tilt vs the jets front...something we see on the regular in the afc east...atlanta isnt gonna replicate that either

The thing i would definitely take away from that though is the damn qb can make plays and lots of them when he isnt horizontal all game long and has a pocket to work into or step up in

The end

If we get quality oline play though there will be a lot of eyes opening around here

Yes, it is possible. It is possible that Dallas's defense is better than people think. Let see how they do versus the Falcons. One more data point.

One nit pick. Since they are my own evaluations after watching the my recording of the Dallas preseason game, I cannot be drinking the Kool-aid.
