I wanna blow off some steam...Ok here it goes, I am a fanatic DOLFAN living here in NY. For decades now every year I convinced myself this is our year. I tried to tell everyone at work why it was how better we were etc.etc. Obviously I was laughed at every year here in JET land and although we never made it to the promise land, my confidence NEVER took a hit, until 2007. After that last year was the first year I just watched and kept my mouth shut, and look what happened. So here we are in 2009 and I'm feeling more confident then ever and I wanna start flapping my mouth again. I truely believe our defense can do to Brady what the Giants did in the super bowl, get constant pressure on him and the AFC will be ours. I feel no threat from any other team, tenn pitts indy sandiego. If we stay healthy New England is our road block to the super bowl, in my opinion. I have my wife 4 kids career etc.. all I need to complete my life here on earth is a DOLPHIN CHAMPIONSHIP then I can die a happy man.. 34 years and counting :(

Nothing about your confidence level or fandom will help nor hurt the team in any way.

I'm with you my friend, sans the gum flapping . I have a wife and 4 kids myself and I feel like a Dolphin dynasty (not just a championship) is what I need to die peacefully. I obsess about it annually and it seems like it will never come to fruition. I was born a year after the undefeated season so I didn't get to personally experience the euphoria associated with winning a Superbowl. But, this may be the year we get this dynasty rolling :hump::dolphins::dolphins::linedance:

Not this year. Not yet.

9-7 wild card with a first round victory will have me wetting my pants with happiness juice!

I think a lot of fans feel that way. I know I always hold the hope that this could be the year we win it all, but it hasn't happened so far. The difference between this year and the previous years is the fact that when I looked at the schedule, I would see games that I dod not think we could win. This year, with our toughest schedule in yeas looming, I do not feel that way.

A lot of it has to do with our head coach, Tony Sparano. The style of ball he has our Phins playing is exactly the kind that fits this team. I no longer so Indy, NE, or Pitt as an automatic loss. We can beat these teams and not just compete. Of course with any championship team, we will need some luck. We will need to aboid some key injuries and hope that our guys live up to the bill. Nothing is out of reach for our team this year, IMO and I think it will be a fun year regardless.

9-7 gets you a ticket home, not to the playoffs...the pats were 11-5 and couldnt get a WC game last yr...

True but giving the Patsies 13-14 wins this year I think is a bit premature..Strength of schedule in B.S... Everyone had us pegged as a win last year and look what happened... No one knows whos goingto be good, bad, or a surprise team.....

I'm with you, the Marino years were some of the finest of my existence just lacking that one piece of jewelry that I so covet. We here in NY are spoiled by the NY Yankees and the rabid expectations that NYers have EXPECTING a winner to be fielded every year, I'm no exception. I don't see this team being of super bowl caliber, but hey what do I know?? Who honestly saw last year coming?? In the watered-down NFL anything can happen. Buckle your seatbelt and enjoy the ride on a week to week basis, that's what I do. I'll be in row 13, right behind the Dolphins bench, on Nov 1 at the Meadowlands cheering my Fins on like crazy! I'm excited now lets hope that the team stays healthy and has a great year!!!!!

Who thought Arizona was super bowl caliber? how about baltimore? Chicago? Anything can happen and again not to "scare myself" but I just have that gut feeling...

Im on vacation in NYC. Where, near Manhattan, can I catch the fins game? I know there's a "Miami Bar" near Conney Island but that's pretty far.
