how's this for a soap opera in pittsburgh... i think hines ward needs to relax

Ben Roethlisberger called for the Steelers to acquire a tall wide receiver, specifically to help inside the 20 and for a bailout target when he's under pressure. He said he had that with 6-foot-5 Plaxico Burress, but not since after the 2004 season

"I don't hear Tom Brady or Peyton Manning asking for that," Ward said yesterday.

Big Ben has a good point. And that's exactly what our team needs.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning don't complain because they don't often spout out. And even though Brady didn't complain about not having a big target, Pats made it a priority to land a guy like Moss. You can be sure Colts will attempt to add a cheap big target outside of Clark for Manning.

lol at Ward taking a comment WAY out of context

Exactly. I watched the video of him going off and it was ridiculous. I always considered Ward a classy guy but i'm not so sure anymore. I mean what good does he think can possibly come from trash talking his own QB? Especially over something so stupid. I'm sure the Steelers organization didn't appreciate it.
Ben never even said anything negative about his receivers. He only expressed that he'd like some taller targets. Who wouldn't? Ward needs to get over himself. It's not like he's anywhere near elite. He should also show some gratitude to the Steelers for re-signing him to a hefty contract.
