ok guys, if we look the same on offense this weekend against the steelers, demonstrating that zero progress has been made, is it time to fire wannstedt after an 0-3 start?

this is dave's 5th year, and we are going in the wrong direction. things are starting to look very similar to what wanny did in chicago and that ended with back to back 4-12 seasons after making the playoffs a few years earlier.

its regression, not progressing. what exists in dave's coaching history that shows progression?

what's the point in keeping wanny around? if he's gonna get canned, i think you do it as soon as you decide it. why play out the season? the result is garunteed.

Actually, the OL seemed to play a bit better against the Titans, and regressed versus the Bengals. I agree that progress must be seen by the offense, especially the OL, or Wanny needs to answer for it.

I could see giving him chance by making the Jets game a "must win". If we go 0-4, then who wants to give Wanny anymore time?

It won't be over for years. Even if Wanny quit/was fired TODAY, it would take how long to rebuild the OL? Is Feeley good enough at QB? Is Gordon good enough at HB?

At least having Wanny gone would mean the healing could begin though. I think Ricky might even want to come back under a new coach. I don't know how to feel about that.

Wow, you guys really are that ignorant. I'm ashamed to say I'm a dolphins fan sometimes. You all give the intelligent fans a bad name.

nope

you're retarded. that's why you can't see what's going on. but don't be a hater because of i. just ask us to educate you and we will.

I wanted him gone two years ago.

Heck, I was pissed that he was even considered for the position much less that they haven't fired him yet. I am not a brilliant man but I saw this mess coming a long time ago as did a lot of others.

Firing a coach midseason won't win you more games this season. If we suck, then we suck. The good news is that if we do suck then wanny will be gone next season and we will be higher in the draft order. If we do end up getting in synch and winning a bunch of games then all the crying now is for naught.

Don't know how you'd feel about it? I think many of you forget Zach and Jason speaking up for Dave after last season. I saw the thread where someone commented their "defeated" expressions last night and the poster attributed it Wannstedt. That said, yes, we do need many changes, coaching among them, but after the disasterous off season, which continues with the Chester news, many things are beyond Wannstedt's control. Since this thread is about Pittsburgh, my two brothers and brother-in-law who live in Pittsburgh are coming down for the game. One of my brothers asked me why the fans are sweating Wannstedt so much instead of getting through the season with anticipating improvements from game to game, even if it's a losing season. Yes, teams DO have them. I do believe and understand that Wannstedt will be fired if the season goes as it is now, and most likely even if we surprise a few teams. However, the self-indulgent can't seem to look beyond their own "discomfort," and cry for a Ricky I don't know any sane person respects, and disregard the players currently making plays who don't want anything to do with him.
~~Holli<<not a Ricky jersey burner, but I know when to cut losses and move on.......

I don't think Wanny will get fired during the season. I just hope Huizenga does the right thing and gets rid of him right after the season.

Ya if the Phins go 0-3 Wanny will be fired, and Spurrier will be our new HC, and then I give up watching NFL football until his azz gets fired.
