just a tidbit they are a predominately passing team
hopefully we have patterson back?any updates on him?
steelers lost their center for the season vs the ravens dunno how significant this is but i say we rush the new guy
Ben isnt very mobile has just 3.3 yards per carry on 21 rushes
cam newton hurt us with his legs rushing for 51 on 7 carries so thats great we have a sitting duck in ben
steelers have given up 37 sacks while only getting 25
we have given up 45 sacks but have gotten 37 sacks

i dont really see us losing this game and furthermore making the playoffs if we lose this game...we need to consider this an elimination game
anyway wallace is coming alive past few weeks and i expect him to run wild against his former team and dolphins should win

since bengals win we have lost won lost won so hoping that we can string together back to back wins for the first time since week 2

Doesn't matter. Does our OC strike you as the type of coordinator that specifically game plans to truly exploit another teams weakness?
Have you ever seen a variable, evolving game plan from Mr. Sherman Quarter to Quarter? Game to Game?

passing team that has started running the ball better since Le'veon Bell has entered the picture. With the group they had early on, they struggled mightily.

Just the whole idea of going into Pittsburgh, in December, in a playoff implications game is not an easy task and not a game that you can "play on paper".

The fact that you state that "Ben isn't mobile" by viewing stats tells me you aren't truly into what type of team Pittsburgh is. Inspite of not rushing for many yards . . . the NUMBER ONE objective in this game is to get Big Ben on the ground and not allow him to make plays "in the pocket" with his legs. If you allow him to extend plays to make plays, we aren't going to win this game.

This would be, IMO, the most impressive win of the season and of Tannehill's career if he can pull it off. Let's hope he can lead this team to victory.

yeah they had resorted to more extra ot packages to jump start the run game in recent weeks...might be difficult vs us though with all the injuries they sustained to the oline thursday

Interested to see if they get L. Bell back after that big head hit he took. Would be huge for us if we got to go up against Dwyer as their starter.

Very winnable game, I think we match up well. Getting Big Ben on the ground is going to be key, and after seeing how hard it was for us to get Andrew Luck down in our Indy match up, I'm a little worried.

I think this running matchup is coming at a good time because of how committed we were to running the ball with Lamar Miller. This could be a breakout game for him if we stay equally committed!

They've run the ball better since Bell got back from injury. Against the Ravens they were over 4.0 ypc and Ben wasn't sacked once even with their makeshift O-line. Need Wake to be Wake in this game. Ben will be as hard to bring down as Cam Newton was.

Forget the Sherman bashing for a minute, break out the Coyle love. Our good pass D, great Int numbers, solid sack abilities, should help exploit the total one sidedness of the Steelers run game. Throw in a depleted OL vs our front four and Ben will have a hard day throwing. If we get Patterson back watch out. I don't see them getting more than 13 if we continue the play we have been seeing on D.

Let Sherman score 24. 24-13 is fine by me.

A.Brown will absolutely eat N.Carolls lunch if we are not careful. Everyone knows of Big Bens uncanny ability to shake would-be sacks and turn something into nothing. When you also consider he is not afraid to throw the ball deep? Look-out! I would be very careful with the Blitz in this game if I'm Coyle!

You will never hear me argue that Nolan Alexander Carroll II is a liability. With Grimes on the other side I hope we are playing more safety on top of Carroll to help out. No extreme blitzing is necessary with our guys. More of those crazy packages will be great though.

I'm starting to sense Coyle is getting a better feel for the Blitz. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you should! We've absolutely hurt ourselves by Blitzing in certain games when the Risk/Reward just isn't in our favor. Personally, I'm still waiting for a few formations defensively that I don't think we've employed yet:

1) D.Jordan lined-up and rushing from the same side that Wake or O.V. is coming from
2) D.Jordan in and Wheeler out!

3-4 period!
Odrick and Starks at the end position
Soliai at the Nose
Wake, D.Jordan, O.V and Ellerbe at the backers.

We have too much choices on defense to be so conventional most of the time!

Just remember most of these guys just started playing here this year or with eachother this year. Give them an offseason to add to the D playbook. Already this season there have been more looks. I loved the one with Wake, Vernon, Odrick, and Jordan. Gave Carolina fits.

I think this is a good matchup for us. If we eliminate the big homerun play we will be fine. The big play usually comes from Ben breaking a tackle and finding a deep wr. Get him on the ground! I don't see them sustaining long drives, offense should be able to put up 24 points and win the game. Sturgis has to make his opportunities!
I can smell a 23-17 Fins win

LWLWLW Over the last 6 games

I wouldn't be getting too ****y, we need to bring some consistency to this rollercoaster season.

LeVeon Bell has been hurt for the first 7 weeks of the season so these numbers are skewed a bit,
