What if Ross really is delusional enough to think were Stafford away from contention?
It seems impossible on the surface but what if McVay thinks he can keep Tua healthy and win with his limited skill set?
Crazy things do happen in this league.
The question that I want to know the most is, does this rumor have any truth to it, does someone in the Dolphins organization want to actually get Stafford or is it like you said, purly hypothetical?
Yeah, if his salary was $5 million and not $50 million, maybe.

I don’t see Stafford in the conversation at all and firmly believe Miami is committed to Tua for 2025.
If Tua gets another concussion or injured for a lengthy period, all bets are off in 2026.
Any QB coming available in 2026 will be giving Miami the side eye to see what happens with Tua imo.

Tua has 2025 to show that 2023 wasn’t a fluke with his health, and the team also needs to achieve postseason success. If he/we don’t hit on BOTH of those marks then we should be looking to draft a QB in the first round in 2026.

Aha the guys are just discussing which teams they believe that Stafford could elevate to a superbowl contender. Dolphins and Steelers were mentioned. They acknowledge that he's making less than 30m and should be a 50m guy with all these other qb's making more than him with lesser talent. Shannon acknowledged that's it's not feasible since the fins are already strapped with Tua.
This isn't surprising to hear some folks in the media perceive this team limited with Tua. Stafford would totally be an upgrade!
