Big mistake from Ross. This team has been mismanaged at the executive level. Nothing but a power trip in my opinion. I'm very disappointed to say the least. His justification of Chris Grier kills me.
His justification of Chris Grier kills me.
Well he's saying that he likes the nucleus of the team that's been put together and the cap situation. If any of us are being objective here then i think we'd all say we agree with him.
The question becomes in an either/or scenerio
Has the talent acquisition primary job of the GM been worst OR the coaching of the team job of the HC been worst?
Whoever decided on the rookie OL coach deserves the most blame - which would be Flores. The way the OL regressed last season would be primarily because of the joke of an OL coach. For Flores to hire that guy to lead his OL was a very very very bad/inept type of move you cant have from your HC.
No Deshaun Watson, No Jim Harbaugh, Smoke And Mirrors?
Could you point out where it was noted Flores wanted more power and why? I haven't seen thatThis is all speculation on my part of course, but it has been noted that Flores was wanting even more power within the organization. What's to say that Grier pretty much told him you're going to have to get better coaches under you and Flores pretty much balked at it? Would that change anybody's opinion that wanted to retain Flores?
It would me, the biggest issues were the coaches, and their lack experience, if Flores was hard headed enough to continue with something that was hurting the team, then maybe he had to be let go.This is all speculation on my part of course, but it has been noted that Flores was wanting even more power within the organization.
