I know you will say Mooch! stunk it up in Detroit but Millen is the biggest coach killer in the NFL and no coach will be successfull as long as he runs the show there. This guy will bring an explosive offense plus players like to work for this guy. Hopefully Capers can stay on as DC.
Just my 0.02
Thanks,

I love Mooch. I wouldn't mind having him as coach.

I wouldn't mind having Mooch over here, I think he can really do impressive things with this offense. Plus Mooch knows how to work well with WR that can't catch the ball so I think he'll fit right in.

P.S. Just throwing this out there, but what do you guys think of bringing in Cowher. I think he would be a great fit. Definitely could get the offense disciplined. Just throwing that out there

Yeah he really got that Detroit bunch soaring above the rest, Id be thrilled for him to work his same magic here! I dont care about winning, I just want a coach who cant get his team over the hump dammit!

As for cowher, i think we beat that topic into the ground. Would be a good choice, but he is almost certainly retiring and hasnt even popped up as an interview candidate anywhere yet.

Yeah like anyone ever did anything with that garbage organization called the Detroit Lions

Are you forgetting about what he did with San Fran? What the hell has the 49ers done since he was fired?

I thought he was retiring you here something we didnt?

I'd love him as offensive coordinator, but not as head coach.

I was just throwing Cowher out there. I highly doubt he is retiring for good though, he will more than likely take maybe a year off. But nothing is certain yet. As for Mooch not doing anything with Detroit, last time I checked no one has really done anything with Detroit. If I remember correctly Mooch was the one that took gambles on both Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens. And since Mooch has left, what have the 49ers gone and done, the word nothing comes to mind. The Lions team along with the Cardinals team will never win anything. No matter who the coaches are.

What did they do when he was there? Get beat around in the playoffs every year. He hit his wall, why bring him back? His tenure with the Lions was an absolute disaster, even worse than their other coaches. People were saying he would be that organizations savior, and he totally bombed. He would be in that same situation here. No thanks, unless you feel like being mediocre for the next several years as well.

This whole lets trot out old failed coaches thing is just an astoundingly bad idea and I have no idea why people keep insisting its a good idea.

I don't think who they hire as a coach is anywhere near as important what personnel department they develop. I don't care if its a Pomeranian which pees everytime a referee blows a whistle, as long as the person holding the leash knows how to find good NFL talent.

You need all of these. Just because you have talent doesnt mean you dont need somebody who knows how to use it. You need a good personell dept, a good coach, and good talent. They all coexist together.
