Stewart scored his second career victory at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, dominating Sunday at the place that caused him a decade of heartache and once even threatened his career.

Juan Pablo Montoya, who won the 2000 Indianapolis 500 in his only appearance, chased down Harvick to finish second -- his best showing on an oval since leaving Formula One last summer.

Jeff Gordon, the series points leader and four-time Brickyard winner, was third followed by Kyle Busch, pole-sitter Reed Sorenson and Mark Martin. Harvick faded all the way to seventh after Stewart's race-winning pass. Jeff Burton, Dave Blaney and Matt Kenseth rounded out the top 10.

Wasnt a bad race, slow pace in the early going with all the cautions. Last two brickyard 400 winners have gone on to win the Cup... anyone here think Stewart can steal it from Gordon come chase time??

I think Stewart could win the whole thing, but I don't think Stewart or Gordon will win the championship. I'm saying a wildcard wins it.

I was glad to see Tony win again at his home track. I'm a fan of his and Kurt Busch.

Interesting thought, quite possible. Looking at the top 12 right now, any prediction who that wildcard may be?

The homer in me wants to say Martin Truex Jr, because he's my favorite drivcer... it's not impossible, but he's sitting 11th and I don't see it happening.

My wildcard pick is Kevin Harvick. Harvick is running really good, yet he's not making a lot of noise.

I would really like to see a first time Champion.

The Chase will come down to Gordon vs. Stewart. Maybe Matt Kenseth or Jimmie Johnson will get hot, but if you're betting against the 20 and the 24, you might as well light your hard-earned cash on fire.

Personally, I think Gordon takes it, he's been unbelievably consistent this year. He hasn't had a bad car anywhere. Consistency wins in the Chase.

From what I've seen this season, it would be bad to bet againist Gordon, other than DNF at charlotte he has been unbelieveably consistent this yr. No Finish above 9th except Daytona and Atlanta. Stewart is getting hot at the right time, and I could see him beating Gordon in the end if you continues this streak.
