Still no respect

We still haven't won an away game, we lost to the Jets who only have one win (against us). Last time I looked, we still finished 4-12 last year. Don't get me wrong, I'm lovin how Saban has this team goin, but the Pats are still champs 3 out of 4 years. Until we face them, they are still favorite to win the divison..

If we were number 1, what would the difference be? Do you think the Dolphins care about where they are "ranked" in some poll?

Respect is earned...not given. Win this weekend and continue to play well and respect will come. Why is it such a big deal where the Dolphins are ranked on a website anyway...

Fuel the fire, that's what we need... Its too early to predict us.

NFL.com has Miami ranked #11.....ill take "NFL's" opinion over ESPN or anyone else anyday, cuz its the "NFL".

On another note, IF Miami beats Buffalo, who here is gonna join me to go bash the Bills fan on Billszone.com on Sunday afternoon??? ive been waiting to shut those guys up all year. Miami better win, or WE will get shut up.

after the pats have consistantly won games, and won the SB over and over, i dout any sports writer would pick the fins over the pats, with the fins only playing 3 games.

we are #13 in the foxsports rankings but they think we only a shot at 2nd in our divison

We haven't earned any respect yet...we are still the same team that lost 12 games last year, until we start to beat people consistently...the Denver win was an aberation, considering how they are playing now. We lost to the jests with a weak, not back from injury QB. We beat the Panthers, considered by some a very good team, but it was a last minute nail-biter win that could have gone either way....at least that is how the media sees things...If we beat the Jills and either beat or at least play the Bucs tightly, we may start to get some more respect...also, the Jests, Jills and Patsies are considered weaker due to injuries, not poor play...so we won't get "respect" as you want until we prove we belong with the rest...

Guys, slow down, as was mentioned, we still need to win on the road. THis team almost choked away the Carolina game. We are not playing at the levels of the top teams. NE will probably finish ahead of us. We dont deserve respect yet.

I wouldn't either.

The Dolphins are just a few plays a way from being 1-2. Where do you think they would be in the rankings if that were the case? I don't put much stock in these rankings, especially so early in the season, but let's see the Dolphins win a road game, and a divisional game, before assuming they will win the division.

You make some really good points and I respect them but you're wrong with "we are still the same team that lost 12 games last year." We are still called the Miami Dolphins, we still play at Dolphins Stadium and we still wear Dolphin uniforms, but that's about it. New coach, new offensive coordinator, a whole new crew of support coaches, a lot of new players including QB, a new attitude and a new plan. If we still had Wannstedt, Fiedler, et al, then I would agree with you. I don't have delusions of grandeur like AFC Championships or Super Bowl rings, but this is not last years 4-12 team by a long shot.
:D :D :D
