With the way things have played out I'm having a hard time understanding why we gave a 3rd for Kenny Stills. At this point he seems more like depth and we could use that pick right about now to move up and get a guy like Kendricks early in the 2nd, or get LB/DB/OL with 2nd 3rd and 4th rounders, which I think we need more than a Kenny Stills. What would someone even offer us for him? A 4th or 5th? I like what our FO has done thus far repairing the damage left by Ireland, but I don't like this move.

Stills will be a great player on this team. He was a great player with the Saints.

He is the younger and cheaper version of a Mike Wallace that actually catches balls and doesn't quit on his team. The kid can fly on the field, great speed. Mix that with a slot player like Landry and a top tier boundary WR in Parker? Wow..

Sprinkle in old man Jennings who can still ball teaching the young pups some tricks. I am excited.

In the 2nd round I can easily see Kendricks or Perryman fallings to us with all this RB talent that will be eaten up. Toss in a lot of 1st round projected players falling out. I expect a lot of movement in the early 2nd.

With Kenny and now Parker, we have a great trio of receivers that will grow together and be a team together for years. Worth a 3rd

Still will have a huge role in our offense. He will be worth the third.

This is what I'm not sold on. With the additions of Jennings/Parker I think it will take an injury for Stills to play a bigger role.

Out of curiosity, what's makes you think that any 3rd rounder would come in and have a starter impact anyways?

Stills is a no-brainer for the 3rd.

proven NFL commodity with a 3rd round pick? OKAY

Stills should be great to have!!! i like him as a third!!!

You kidding dude??? Would you rather gamble or take a guarantee? Stills is a two year player who performed admirably. And we get him cheap for another two years. Shouldn't even have to think about this one

I'm in the minority, I would of preferred our 3rd round pick.

I'm wary of the system and how it manufactures WR deep threats and how they disappear when leaving that system . . . and we only get him for 2 years on the rookie contract instead of 4 with a 3rd round pick.

I want him to blow up and be a stud, but I'd take the 3rd round pick over him. I'll gladly be wrong on this.

I will take Stills. He is going to be a great addition to our team. We have a sure handed and stable receiving corp coming together for once in a long time.....

I might be wrong on money but I think it also saved us money because new Orleans took ellerbee.
we still had to pay part of his cap because we restructured to help new Orleans.
so more than anything it was a salary cap move. I don't think we would have traded a straight third for him.
Kenny still later in the year did a very good job because graham was never healthy and cooks got hurt.
he was basically their third receiver and like 5th target before injuries.

Kenny stills should be a solid player but he is nothing special.

when is the last tie we were able a player for a higher pick then where we drafted him at.

Which happens all the time in the NFL. I love everything we have done at wideout this off-season. We have a grip of great young talent and a vet to help teach. Plus we're no longer vulnerable to one injury ruining our season... at the wr position at least.

He's not depth he's a layer to our offense and wr core. He offers something no one else on the roster does, and will prove to be incredibly valuable while he demands safety help as Parker crosses deep....

Don't let the draft excitement get to your head.
