With all the problems we've and have had the last few years with our receiving corps...how is it that Parcells, Ireland, and Sparano bring over Fasano, Polite, and Adele and somehow forget to drag Miles Austin with them too? Unbelievable! Don't tell me they didn't know this guy was a beast. Hell, bet we could have traded him for Ginn at that time too. lol
He was what? 4th or 5th on that roster at the end of the 2008 season. Now, look at this guy destroying defenses. The fact that our Management has allowed us to start two seasons without a true #1 receiver, means that these guys are missing the boat when it comes to the passing game. Henne doesn't have a chance until we get this corrected. Don't get me going on our middle linebackers or safety issues..
WHY TUNA? WHY?
FYI:Read it and weep!!!
Austin got his first NFL start on October 11, 2009 against the Kansas City Chiefs, as a replacement for injured Roy Williams. Austin had 10 catches for 250 yards (a Cowboys record for receiving yards in a single game, breaking Bob Hayes' 246-yard effort in 1966 against the Washington Redskins) and 2 touchdowns including the 60-yard game winner in overtime. Austin made his second career start on October 25 against the Atlanta Falcons replacing Patrick Crayton as the No. 2 receiver. Austin solidified his place as a starting receiver with 171 receiving yards along with 2 touchdowns.
Again...Way to go Tuna-Fish!
