1st round, Pick #9: Levi Brown – LT – Penn State
With Adams, Branch, and Quinn, all off the board, this leaves Brown as the best player available and at a desirable position for the Fins. Levi is clearly the 2nd best LT in this draft, and while he may not turn out all world like a Jonathan Ogden, he has the ability to lock down the left side of the line for 10 years. He’d easily be this teams best LT since Richmond Webb.

2nd round, Pick #40: Jon Beason – OLB – University of Miami(FL)
A 1st round talent, but with a run on DEs, CBs, and WRs, he gets pushed down to pick #40. Not as tall as some might like for an OLB at only 6ft, but posses good overall size, weighing in at close to 240. Has the ability to play all 3 LB positions which works out great considering the Fins depth at the position. Even if the Fins add Thomas in FA, Beason would be a valuable addition to the LB corp.

3rd round, Pick #71: Fred Bennett – CB – South Carolina
Lucky to have a quality CB left at this pick, especially considering his measurables. While measurables haven’t always translated to the field, the room to grow is there. Bennett comes from a program known for producing some quality NFL defensive backs. Has the size and speed to develop into a wonderful #1 CB in a year or two, and should be able to contribute right away.

4th round, Pick #104: Andy Alleman – OG – University of Akron
Execellent size, and has been soaring up draft boards since the end of the season. Arguably the 3rd best G in the draft, and quite a steal to be around at the beginning of day 2. Good size, but comes from a program that doesn’t play top notch competition. Has flashed the ability to play center, and did son on a few occasions during senior year. Could possibly start at G right away if Houck can get enough work in, but would surely be able to make the leap midway through the season or the following year. And hey, the last guy the Fins drafted from Akron turned out pretty good, right?

6th round, Pick #166: Jacoby Jones – WR – Lane
Has excellent size, and adequate speed. Comes from a smaller program which hurts his stock, but with the performance of Colston last year, Jones might not be there in the 6th. Certainly not close to a finished product, but has all the physical tools to succeed. Getting to learn behind Booker and Chambers can’t hurt his development too much, and should be a wonderful 4th option at some point during his rookie year. Might even have the ability to step in as a return man.

7th round, pick #198: Justin Vincent – RB – LSU
Had an amazing freshman year, but was hampered by injury a few times during his collegiate career. Was the victim of overwhelming depth at running back for LSU. Not the fastest or strongest running back, but has shown the ability to break the long run. Has adequate hands, and could turn into a very good back up running back. If Ricky Williams returns next season, Vincent could do very well learning behind him and Brown, and get some nice practice in as the 3rd running back.
