Chad Henne is the future quarterback for the Phins...For now

But everyone needs to realize that he is not ready to become the fulltime starter. Alot of great QB's sat out their first year or two learning under the wings of a veteran QB...HEY LOOK WHAT WE GOT?! a veteran QB...Chad is a great leader and we're lucky to have him because he is no doubt going to be a huge help to the development of Chad Henne.

SO STOP CALLING FOR HENNE TO START...if he starts now, he could have a bad experience out there since he isn't ready...then what? we start looking for ANOTHER future QB.

I agree.. Pennigton gives us the best chance to win against the pats . He has played them twice a year for the last 6= years. This guy knows their defence!!!! Plus he is a dope qb and just needs to get his head in the game..

Wow definitions of lucky vary, I wouldn't consider a team to be lucky with a QB that threw for 102 yards the entire game, and a rookie comes in a throws for 67 yards and a leads a TD drive immediately. Pennington is a great guy, a good leader, makes good desicions, but is hurting this team as a starter!

THANK YOU!!!!! Everyone was so happy when Pennington got here and now because we're 0-2 everyone wants Henne to start. We dug ourselves a hole against Arizona because of defensive screwups and before the first commercial we're forced to pass. Well, who does he have to throw to? It ain't Bolden and Fitzgerald that's for sure. Honest to God, you guys need to calm down and/or just shut up and here's a news flash for you, Sparano isn't going to listen to you no matter how much you ***** so just SHUT UP!

Your right, but were 0-2 if we were 2-0 nobody would say squat. I don't need to see what Pennington can do we all know that now. Henne needs time to learn to play at this level and there's no better place than on the field.

Telling those of us who believe this to Shut up is a great arguement, way to reach deep down inside with that one.

Beck is broken, he came to us broken, playing last season only showed us that early on. If Beck had any pocket presence he still be our guy instead of the clip board keeper. Henne on the other hand has already shown us that he has the ability to lead, so let him learn now not next year. He's gonna make lots of mistakes but he'll also have drives like the last one against Zona.

Are you trying to say that Denver just got lucky with Cutler, or could he handle his mistakes and learn from them. For two years he made mistakes and get coming back for more. This year he looks every part of the solid passer Denver thought he'd be when they traded up to get him.

Most of you have your win at any cost blinders on instead of looking to the future. Henne with two solid years starting will be better for us long term then him sitting and watching.

So I won't shut up, I'll keep beating the same drum and I never ever thought TS would listen to me. Your BS of breaking QB's by playing them too early is some of the worst excuses I've ever read.

1. And alot started. Your point?
2. Penny is worn out as far as playing goes.
3. Horse hockey.

how can u say that pennington give us the best chance 2 win cause he knows the pats d. this scrub pennington knew the jets d a little better and he couldnt win. i will take any body with a nfl arm over the princess arm pennington.i just hope they bench this soft corny hillbilly pennington.

This is so true. Some of the best quarterbacks of all time, and of today, started their rookie season. Troy Aikmen, Dan Marino, John Elway, Peyton Manning, and many more started as rookies. Trent Edwards, Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger, Donovan McNabb and the two rookies drafted this year all started as rookies.

I agree with the logic that sitting a QB gives him a chance to learn under a veteran QB and Pennington is a perfect guy to learn under. But Henne just seems like the type of guy that wont get rattled. I don't think he's the type of guy to have his confidence shattered after a poor outing. that's just my opinion.

i agree with you here...even though i was pulling for Beck and really wanted to see him succeed as our QB,his confidence seems to have been shaken alot after some very poor outings. Henne on the other hand seems to not let a poor outing shake him or his confidence. just as i stated in another post,he was a 4 year starter at Michigan, and for a reason, and to me that reason is his drive, determination, heart, will power,&confidence to succeed and be a leader. i now believe that Chad Henne is our QB of the future, and will be the starter when the coaches feel he's ready,AND when they want to make him our starting QB.

True Say! Im sick of people even talkin about this thus far. Also even mentioning Beck.... lol. patience my fellow finatics... Henne is going to do us proud one day. until then, let him learn from Penny and gain the experience needed.

some on explain to me, other than picking pennington's brain, how is Henne getting experience sitting on the bench
