Ok.. First off, I do appreciate the debates going here. But let's be honest. None of us expect us to win the division. Most of us would be happy with 8-8. I'm not saying I'm happy with loses, but, I do know that this team has weaknesses and they are being exploited. And really, we shouldn't be suprised.

There have been questions of Sabans ability, our receivers, QBs, DBs, O-line, D-line, everything but the kitchen sink.

Personally.. I DON'T WANT A COACH WHO COACHES BY PUBLIC OPINION. We had that with Wanny.... he was always trying to be popular.
We were all happy to have Saban... now after 5 games people are flogging him.

We really need to sit back and analyze things. Last night while watching the Seattle/Houston game.. I saw something that made rethink half the arguments i was making after our lost yesterday.

Those Texans got whipped, beaten down, destroyed. And the difference between us and them is that we at least have some hope. They have absolutely none...

Let's all be realistic. Players who aren't in the game, maybe not in the game for a reason. Do you think decisions are made soley from what is seen on T.V.? Perhaps the way a player prepares from Monday to Saturday decides where they are on the depth chart. Regardless of who one fan likes more than another. There are reasons why players are where they are.

There are far too many players we could call out. At this point, I'm really disappointed in the entire squad.

But let's understand that this is a new coach.. new system.. and many new players...And this story needs 16 weeks to be written.

Very true.

Its funny but everyone expected the Fins to be 8-8 at best before the season started. Even the biggest homers thought so.

We go out and beat two pretty good teams and then many peoples' expectations changed. People were talking playoffs and even superbowl. LOL.

IMO, this team is right where it should be at this point.

No matter what you or me or anyone expected, Yesterday was a disgrace. Nobody better expect to win playing like that.

I thought it was an improvement, at least penalty wise.

The only point I disagree with is I think we need at least a minimum of 3 years to truly debate Saban. He has to be givin a chance at 3 drafts...with one year for some of these young guys to get experience. We wont really be comfortable with either system until next year.

Any fan calling for Saban now...really has NO IDEA about football. They dont realize how organizations are built and their idea of rebuilding a franchise is to hold a fantasy draft on Madden 2006. Mueller needs two years minimum to bring in guys to build around. This is a work in progress. Im not really disappointed at all, because truthfully, these guys are much more fun to watch than last years team, and thats about all I was askin for this year. Heres lookin forward to getting a real QB, and building a strong franchise around him. Until then....lets just enjoy watching our franchise improve over the year.

I get excited for nothing..After yesterday, we SUCK.

Man...last year we sucked. We dont suck now. We didnt suck yesterday. Tampa is just a better team at the moment. So what. We are on the right track..if you cant see it, I guess your in for a long season. Sucks to be you.

I agree with you....we didn't expect much and thats what we received....not much. But we do have the right as fans to expect a team that doesn't make the same mistakes over and over....we should expect at least that.

Thank you for one of the only sane threads this a.m. The sky isn't falling like some of these threads will lead us to believe. Things are not great, afterall, but - in reality - did we expect them to be great before the season?
Sure, we all got caught up with our two early wins - I know I did - but the reality is we're an 8-8 team this year at best, because we have holes at QB, on O-line and we lack defensive depth. These are problems that take more than one offseason to fix, especially with the mess Wanny and Speel left us.

So let's chill a bit. I know the loss sucked, and we're hurting right now, but let's try to at least enjoy the rest of the season, and see the beginnings of what should be good things ultimately in '06 and '07.

i really expected to get flammed for writing this. I love coming to this forum and talking Dolphins football. But it has been really negative lately. I think we are where we should be. We are going to have a few more difficult losses this year.
But looking around the league... I'm glad I'm a Dolphin fan instead of some other teams..Hmm like, Minnesota!

Who cares if you appreciate our posts. If you don't like them don't read them. No the story is written every day. It needs no time. We are an average team and are well below the consistency of any good team. We have no shot at a successful post season. Zero. Coaching included so far. We have been out prepared for the past two weeks big time.

Out-prepared is worse than out-performed.

yes...it has been negative here...that's the way it is here after every loss we are the worst team in the NFL and after every win...we are going to the Superbowl.

Some people are irrational...and don't think things out.

I expected the Fins to finish around 8-8...and I would be pretty happy with that.

Some things that bothered me yesterday...yes the penalties hurt us but not as bad as last game...it was our Secondary and Gus.

Our secondary is pretty damn horrible...that group is BAD. I miss Surtain more than every right now. Daniels is a rookie but he has been just as bad as Howard...Daniels has a pass interference peanlty in every game I bet...and Madison...well he overrated.

I noticed that this season...if our D-Line does not get pressure on the QB...our secondary gets burned...in previous seasons...we used to get coverage sacks...the QB had no were to throw the ball and our D-Lineman would finally get to the QB...that has not happened once this season.

I'm upset with the missed tackles yesterday...there were alot...especially on the long run by Pittman.

After the game was over...it seemed to me that the running back by committe will not work for Miami. The past two weeks...R. Brown got some nice yards late in the game...with this running back by committe...I just don't think the running backs will get into a rythm...I hope the return of RW does not hurt the team...yeah I know it was only his first game...but our running game was getting better...and yesterday it took a step backwards IMO.

Gus is not that accurate....a lot of his throws are behind WR's...our wide out always have to make a great catch because Gus isn't accurate...Gus IMO has not looked sharp at all these past weeks...after the Denver game...he just has not looked at good IMO.

No matter what though...I can't wait till next Sunday at home vs. K.C.

GO FINS!!!
