Storm Duck

Looking back tho, Chop was and is around a 2nd round talent, maybe lower if were being brutally honest.
Yes and No. Chop has limitations like every player does, he has to be coached and put in positions not to expose those weaknesses often. Chop still tries to run into the chest of a blocker, which he was successful using in college, but will not work against in NFL OT since Chop is too small and arms too short for the technique. Our coaches must teach him to be Cam Wake and bend around the corner and OT.

Do we need better OLB/Edges yes, this team does need guys who have the size to force an OT to drop his buttocks to anchor. Chubb does that to a degree, but is painfully slow.

I was not a fan of the Chop pick, but, TBF, most mocks had him around 25-30. Drafted above that range, but not a PW mistake.
BPA at that point was definitely Mitchell, though. Most had him ranked about 10-12. Going for guys like Mitchell in the 1st, who have fallen through the cracks, is usually a good thing to consider.

Don't disagree, but some here seem to think the pick was unjustified under any circumstances. I'm just pointing out the pick wasn't far from consensus.
Like you, it seems every high pick Miami made, I wanted someone else.

1) Love the name
2) Was not impressed last year
3) Appreciate the size of the player
4) Give him another camp and if he works great. If not he has some good stories for his future grand kids
