Story regarding our bad luck with number 1

that is stupid, who is to day that this years number 1 wont be a future hall o famer, in 3-5 years then you can make that statement, this is just a jourlist with nothing else to right

he didn't say that. he said that there is no can't miss guy this year - just a bunch of evenly matched players. it's not that they won't be hall of famers, it's that it is not real obvious who it is gonna be. pick 1 could be hall of fame or pick 5 could be hall of fame. and yes, that is true every year, but this year we'd been okay anywhere in the top 5.

I think this is overblown, most of that is viewed in hindsight.

Now Elway, everybody wanted Elway, but Manning was no super QB in college that everybody wanted at #1, some had Leaf rated higher.

Yes, 2005 was a bad draft at the top, but this one is not, there just isn't a sure thing QB, which....guess what?.......there usually isn't.

good view on it. Its just too bad we couldnt be a few spots lower to get a good player. The top five is pretty much filled with possible game changers

the way i see it is this is a good draft... its just got 5-6 guys at the top who are basically even... they are all good, but theres not a guy who is leaps and bounds better than everyone else...

this would be a good year to be picking 5th or something, cause getting any one out of Dorsey, Long, Long, Mcfadden, Gholston and having to not pay that top pick money would be nice

i actually think this is a bad draft at the top, but nonetheless deep. the guy that people want really bad i never heard of until last year, which was his only good one. matt ryan could have been had in the second round last year. jake long is great, but he's no QB. there is great depth in the draft this year, but no players that stick out from the rest to me.

I am so glad we took Ronnie Brown, IT would have suck to be stuck with smith(though he may flourish but right now he is looking like a bust).

Game changer is exactly why I question taking a OL 1st in the draft. Is that a person that will ever change the game for us ? A big sack, or a great throw will do that, but unless you have the runner....how does an OL change the game for you ?

Brown was a good pick, hopefully he will stay healthy this year. I'm glad we didn't end up with Cedric Benson at #2

I like this draft much better at top than 2005 for sure. and others as well.

2005 goes without saying. worst draft class that i can remember. but any other year since 2000 would be better to have the #1 pick.

Huh? Well you have a much better chance of having a great throw, and a great run with a great OL. Beign a dolphin fan, you should kow the importance of pass protecting and run blocking, something we havent had in recent years
