that is stupid, who is to day that this years number 1 wont be a future hall o famer, in 3-5 years then you can make that statement, this is just a jourlist with nothing else to right
I think this is overblown, most of that is viewed in hindsight.
Now Elway, everybody wanted Elway, but Manning was no super QB in college that everybody wanted at #1, some had Leaf rated higher.
Yes, 2005 was a bad draft at the top, but this one is not, there just isn't a sure thing QB, which....guess what?.......there usually isn't.

good view on it. Its just too bad we couldnt be a few spots lower to get a good player. The top five is pretty much filled with possible game changers
I am so glad we took Ronnie Brown, IT would have suck to be stuck with smith(though he may flourish but right now he is looking like a bust).
i actually think this is a bad draft at the top, but nonetheless deep. the guy that people want really bad i never heard of until last year, which was his only good one. matt ryan could have been had in the second round last year. jake long is great, but he's no QB. there is great depth in the draft this year, but no players that stick out from the rest to me.
I like this draft much better at top than 2005 for sure. and others as well.
Game changer is exactly why I question taking a OL 1st in the draft. Is that a person that will ever change the game for us ? A big sack, or a great throw will do that, but unless you have the runner....how does an OL change the game for you ?
