Recently i got in an argument with my friend about which NFL quarterback had/has the strongest arm. I mentioned Elway and he talked about Jeff George having a gun. Thoughts?

Got to put mike vick in there too .. he can throw it hard.

Dont forget about Favre and didnt Marino have a stronge arm on him to?

The VICK flick........on the run with just a flick of the wrist can travel 65-70 yards....Up in Blacksburg he was throwing the ball of 80 yards! He along with Elway & Farve could knock your a$$ out if they hit you in the head with a FOOTBALL! lol ;)

After seeing a good example of the "Vick Flick" in a game against the Vikings I think 2 years ago...I'm gonna have to go with Vick. He just effortlessly flicked his wrist and the ball went like 50-60 yards in air. That was amazing.

George has the prettiest DEEP ball, but as far as slinging it it is Marino hands down followed by Elway, and Favre. Vick has to do it for another ten seasons, we'll test his velocity in 2013 like the rest of the great ones.

Jeff George had the strongest arm, he wasn't a great player but he had a cannon.

This is a no brainer its Elway and by a large margin. In his first few years in the league his passes were so strong that wrs had problems catching them and I believe he even broke a few fingers.

farve is the same way, he has broken his recievers fingers and a couple of DB's also I think.

Elway I dono, he had a cannon alright, but I always thought that Favre's was stronger.

Heres a sleeper - Jay Schraeder. That guy had one of the strongest arms Ive erver seen. Mike Vick is probably a close second.

Marino could release the ball quickly and was amazinlgy accurate 30 yards down the field, which made him like he had a stronger arm than he he really had. Fact of the matter is, he never had the pure arm strength of the guys listed above, or even guys like Elway and Favre.

That's not necessarily true. I believe his quick release made his arm actually seem weaker than it really was. Marino's arm was damn strong.
