im glad alex smith did not fall to us in the draft... That would have been a huge mistake if we got him.

Don't you think it's alittle early to be calling Alex Smith a bust? He's not exactly walking into a position in San Francisco where he's surrounded with talent (ala Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh).

What do you expect from the kid?

It's almost like Steve Young when he was with Tampa Bay (back to back worst seasons in NFL) then went to San Fran...and the rest is history ;)

i agree with you on saying that. But I think Ronnie was probably the best pick for us. I also think Braylon Edwards would have been another quality pick but this franchise chose ronnie. I wouldnt exactly call Braylon a dud yet either. He could possibly be one of the top wide receivers in the next few years.

It's way to early to consider any QB a bust. QBs take longer to develop. The ones that put up good numbers early are the exception not the rule.

Stud- Demarcus Ware
Dud- Troy Williamson

Studs: Odel Thurman, Ronnie, Caddy, Derrick Johnson, Chris Henry, Heath Miller, Demarcus Ware

Duds: Benson, Alex Smith, Pacman Jones, JJ Arington

I still think it is too early to tell. I mean look at David Carr in Houston, he's got loads of talent, he's in his 3rd year and still hasn't done a thing because he's surrounded by an atrocious supporting cast, including his coaching staff.

Guys like Marino who step in immediately and produce are the exception, not the rule.

BTW, I know it's off topic, but congratulations to your White Sox, that was one hell of a run. You rolled right through us. I still can't believe we couldn't push across a run against El Duque with the bases loaded and no outs.

I dont think anyone is calling anyone a bust. Just saying who have been the studs and duds of the season so far...

Damn, you took the words right off my keyboard.

Troy Williamson- 14 rec. 214 yards 15.3 avg 2 td Thats not THAT bad for a young receiver in a bad offense. I tihnk he will be good with time.
