I just went on ESPN and NFL.com to see where Miami's D was ranked and I noticed it said the D gave up 33 points. How stupid is that??? Why would they attribute 14pts on INT returns that the offense gave up to the defense???
Cause people at ESPN got lazy and didn't feel like checking how they got those points, so screw it...Just throw them in there.:shakeno:JJ777 said:I just went on ESPN and NFL.com to see where Miami's D was ranked and I noticed it said the D gave up 33 points. Because after a TO....the offense becomes the defense while the play is still active, therefore the point total goes against the DOLPHINS defense.JJ777 said:I just went on ESPN and NFL.com to see where Miami's D was ranked and I noticed it said the D gave up 33 points. Don't look at the word defense in such a literal way as offense and defense but rather the whole team's responsibility to stop the scoring of the other team.
NFL.com scores it like that also...
The Key word is SCORING offense and.... Yes....any score goes in the TEAM's SCORING offense category.JJ777 said:Thats retarded. So if our D suddenly scores slews of TD off of INT we could possibly have the #1 scoring "offense"? What moron thought that one up?
