He couldn't kick out of the EZ in mile high? Plus, our kick coverage has stunk all year.
 
You are seriously blaming the kicker if this team's defense was as good as they believed they should of been able to stop the drive.

Kicker wasn't to blame for the loss. The short field doesn't help with Manning but I put this loss squarely on the defense.

I was very surprised, however, that on 6 kickoffs he only had 1 touchback...I think it was 6 kickoffs. That's pretty bad.
 
we forced the Broncos to punt ONE time....period, end of story, done. You don't beat the Broncos when they only have to punt ONE freakin time.

to put that in perspective the rams forced broncos to punt THREE times in the first half alone.

Sorry guys, our defense did not get on that plane to head to Colorado.

Don Jones not being there has hurt coverage big time. Williams made a play on punt coverage though.

Sturgis is weak-legged. Supposedly DRAFTED because of strong leg? Nope.

If we're letting Manning start on the 40 we should have just tried an onside kick there.

That's classic Dolphins and has been for years. The special teams always contributes to losses late in games by shanking punts, short kickoffs or missed field goals. But yeah, the defense takes the blame for the loss yesterday.

It really made no difference last night. Short field, long field... Manning made our defense his bitch.

Yep, it's been going on since Mare started to kill us, Carpenter started sucking and all of a sudden he's solid with Buffalo, Fields has been shaky, Sturgis drafted and makes us sweat everytime.
 
I think we can definitely upgrade the kicker position. We will see what happens in the draft and free agents. The problem is that Taylor went down and we had to play a vanilla defense, because we had a player that doesn't know the defense. That's why the defense looked so ****ty. Our defense wasn't great but they held up until the last drive before the half. Than the Taylor injury happened and it all went to hell.
 
Can't believe we have this guy as our kicker. Fifth rounders are cut all the time but we keep this scrub on the team. I couldn't believe my eyes seeing him not bring able to kick out of the end zone, in Denver.
 
I hate Sturgis. What a lame attempt at an onside kick too.
