DAVIE, Fla. (AP) — Ndamukong Suh anticipated the question and tackled it with a one-word answer.

How did he grade his performance in the season opener?

"Poor," he said Wednesday.

Ryan Tannehill also deemed his 2015 debut unsatisfactory.

"I wasn't happy with how I played," Tannehill said.

It's amazing the Miami Dolphins won last week at Washington, given the initial return on a $210 million offseason investment in their two biggest stars. The coaching staff agreed Suh and Tannehill can play better, and everyone expects progress Sunday at Jacksonville.

The whole team has to do better, not just Suh. It's a good thing when the Miami Dolphins have things to work on after a win rather than a loss though.

im happy he is honest with himself..... i was telling my brother i thought he had a poor game as well.

Tannehill is honest with himself too... they all prob working away to fix and improve for week 2. long season ahead!!! lets keep it going!!

That first half was horrible. The D couldn't get off the field or stop their running game. Poor tackling as well. But we got it going later on. The Jags are worse than the Skins in my opinion, but we have to play better.

Remember when Suh had a bad practice day? He dominated the rest of camp. Lets hope this lights his fire and he annilates the Jags

Remember when Mike Wallace had an unmemorable Dolphins debut and responded by calling out the coaching staff? lol

Good times.

I don't understand why that crappy native american mascot named team was playing so hard in the 1st half! How rude is that! Total BS. And that rather nasty chop block judo stuff was a downright vulgar way to treat a guest. And yea, our guys were the "guests" in their "house!"

Personally, I would never go back there again.

BNF!

IMO our HC needs to do a better job. We came out conservative on both sides of the ball. I'm so tired of the conservative approach. It's obvious to me Joe was looking to win a game without putting a lot on film for the Bills and Pats to use when we play them. F that. Just go out and try and destroy every team we play each week. The tempo the team plays is 100% on the HC.

Yup every game should be an opportunity to run our **** and master it. Not try and hide what we do but do what we do very well so that it can't be stopped.
