Sure he's a great player but if anybody thinks he's gonna all of a sudden turn this team into a contender they better give their head a shake. This regime has no idea what it takes to build a championship team.
Has he made Detroit a sb contender, no. And they've got the best WR in the league and a pretty good QB.

You don't give all your money to 1 great defensive lineman and expect championships. You build with character players that can play. He can play but his character is suspect, extremely suspect. Wait until he gets a couple of suspensions, you'll all be saying the same thing.

Unless you're getting a top 3 qb, The moneys better spent on several very good players, then fill in the holes. The sooner the hierarchy realize this the sooner we'll have a contending team. You don't buy championships.

So who are these 3 or 4 players you want to sign to build this championship team?

I'll wait.

Un-freakin-be-lievable.

Suh is the best thing to happen to this Miami D since forever.

why are the people who barely post start doing so now? When things are good? Trolls, Other team fans disguised as fin fans?

Ridiculous thread. Suh was worth the price of admission. Best free agent we've ever signed.

But with that being said, if Tannehill doesn't take the next step, we will be sitting on the outside looking in yet again. Suh or no Suh.

of course people are going to give the op crap because it sounds like hes ripping the fins, but technically hes right.

suh is a great player when he has his head on straight . top 5 defensive player in the nfl, maybe better.

that being said, if we kept our team from last year the way it was pretty much, and add suh, do ppl really think that makes us a significantly better team?

our players still need to learn how to tackle, our defensive backs need to learn how to cover, our special teams needs to be better, our offense, which includes our o line, wrs, and most importantly the qb need to step up there games when it matters most.

take a look for example at last years season by jj watt. jj watt, who is the best defensive player in the nfl, had a season that is going to be really hard for someone to repeat on defense. he did everything. pressured the qb constantly, sacked the qb, ints, forced fumbles, even had a couple of defensive tds. basically he was as good as it gets. what did the texans do last year, playing a ****ty ass division, while having a guy on defense have as good of a year as he will prob ever have? they went 9-7, which is over 500, but considering the cupcake sched they had and the crappy division they play in, its not so great.

this with jj watt having as dominant a year on defense we have seen from a d lineman in a long time. he did everything he can, but the texans qbs were inconsistent, there defense aside from watt was suspect, etc.

basically, as awesome as suh is, sure he will help significantly, but at the same time, its going to come down to how well our qb plays throughout the season and if he can elevate his game in the clutch this year.

all in all, as a fin fan, u gotta be ecstatic, we signed a top 5 defensive player in the game, prob better, just entering his prime, but if everything else stands pat, such as inconsistency from our offense, crappy secondary play, etc, we will be the same 8-8 team again most likely.

suh is a great addition that should make things easier no doubt, but as we saw with watt last year, and even revis when he was on the jets, a great defensive player can only do so much, and can not carry a team like a manning or brady or rodgers do year after year.
