With all the talk about the supp. draft, I dug up a list of picks of the past.

http://www.drafthistory.com/supplemental/supplemental-drafts.html

Bernie Kosar 1985 1 Browns QB Miami (FL) GOOD PICK
Brian Bosworth 1987 1 Seahawks LB Oklahoma FAILED
Cris Carter 1987 4 Eagles WR Ohio State FAILED FOR PHILLY
Steve Walsh 1989 1 Cowboys QB Miami (FL) FAILED
Timm Rosenbach 1989 1 Cardinals QB Washington State FAILED
Bobby Humphrey 1989 1 Broncos RB Alabama WENT NUTS
Rob Moore 1990 1 Jets WR Syracuse GOOD
Manuel Wright 2005 5 Dolphins DT USC WENT NUTS
Ahmad Brooks 2006 3 Bengals LB Virginia ???

not to mention other ones I've never heard of.

hmmm maybe they dont classify young because he was picked up from the usfl and not college. not sure but maybe thats why he's not on list, cause he was 1 in 85

Just goes to show, supplemental draft picks are generally a risky, bad investment.

cris carter turned out to be one of the best WR's in the history of the league...all he did was CATCH TOUCHDOWNS!!!!! so you never know it can always turn out good! but also turn out horrible

Steve Walsh didn't work out for Dallas because they'd already picked up Troy Aikman that year, but they did get 3 draft picks when they traded him away.

He went on to have a pretty decent NFL career as a backup. Closer to an OK, or didn't live up to the expectations, but definitely not a FAILED.

Actually Bosworth was not a failure. He was rookie of the year he just had a really bad injury and never recovered but he played fairly well his three years.

About Carter I said
FAILED FOR PHILLY
, not failed as a career. But Philly took him, and he didn't work out, was cut by Buddy Ryan, cleaned up his act (booze) and became a great WR.

The Boz was all juice, injured his shoulder (which happens from juice) and if you look at any publication/report/list he was a BUST. Supposed to be a 10-15 year NFL guy who would change the game

I saw Brian Bosworth's story on the NFL Network's Top 10 Draft Busts...what a clown. Bo Jackson :sidelol:
