With many college teams opting out -
Do the dolphins take a player now based on talent display from 2019? Ettienne? If he opts for it I mean..
 
There will be not supplemental draft. I believed that was announced moths ago. If they were going to have it they would have done it before training camp. You can't hold a draft just a few weeks before the season starts.
 
My guess is that they wanted to give NCAA a fair chance to retain their top talent if the season could happen. It’s part of the unspoken partnership that the NFL and College Football Protect each other’s interests for the betterment of the sport
 
These kids have no alternative but to either wait out the year and potentially play in the spring or opt out and declare. The Supplemental draft could have been huge in a time like this. Unfortunately the NFL cancelled it.
 
Wasn't really fair to the college players who's conferences have decided not to play in 2020
 
NFL said there would not be one due to the special circumstances.

They do not want to piss off their free developmental league.
