Who do you guys think we could take at 25 assuming we didn't trade down and it wasn't a big name OLB, CB, or WR that we have already discussed at length?

I'm thinking Brandon Pettigrew, TE from Okie State. Yeah he's not a great receiving TE but he's 6'6" 263# and one of the nastiest blockers at TE to come out in awhile. I think he'd be a great asset, esp. with Fasano and Martin being FA soon. Plus Parcells is not afraid to pick a blocking TE in the late 1st, a la Anthony Becht.

Just trying to get some surprise picks out there before the draft

I could see that, really to get the best prospect at #25 would be awesome. He can do both run great routes and block. I can't see him making it anywhere near us but if he was there I'm sure they would take a look. If he made it to Atlanta and then past them I would very surprised

I would fine with that pick, he is perfect for us. I think he would replace Martin not Fasano as we run alot of two tight-end sets, it would be like having 7 offensive lineman on the field. I also don't believe he is a slouch catching the ball it is just that OSU was a run first team so he did not get many opps. If he ran a 4.7 forty he would be a top 15 pick.

Well, I`m thinking Sintim could be the surprise, I don`t see much talk about him. And it seems to me you can`t miss with this guy.

If we are talking BPA,not talked about on here, & a surprise it could be someone like Michael Oher. He is big, and would let us move Carey to guard. I am not suggesting I would like the pick, just trying to play along.

well this is my idea for a second round... not first, but a suprise aspect I have been thinking about... what about Jared Cook the TE in the 2nd... at the combine he was 6'5" 246#, and he ran the 40 in 4.50... that is faster than Kenny Britt at 4.56... and just a hair slower than Jeremy Maclin at 4.48! This guy is 6'5" 246#! And if you throw in a 41" vertical that beats out all but 2 recievers at the combine...

-Reportedly ran a 4.37-second 40-yard dash in 2007!

-Blessed with the combination of size and speed that led Game****s coach Steve Spurrier to compare him to Detroit Lions star Calvin Johnson, Cook has the tools every scouting director is looking for in the new prototype NFL tight end.

This article talks about he was often used out wide in the Game****s offense. Say we dont get a WR in the first could he be used to help the pass offense by splitting out wide and creating mismatches?
