T.O. to the Jets?

He whined about having McNabb and Garcia throwing him the ball- think he'll be thrilled with Bollinger, Penny, or Fiddler throwing him the rock? That team has more holes than a donut shop, no way they even sniff around him.

TO plus Edwards as a coach? It'd be chaos. Edwards doesn't have the cajones to handle TO on a good day! Sounds great! They'd fall apart!

they are 24 mill over, and have some big FA like Abraham. Most guys at the jet board say abraham will be traded away. Pennington counts 12 million on their cap whether he plays or gets cut. He said he wont take a pay cut cause he got hurt while playing. Mccairens might go next year, i know his dead cap number was to high this season. Ty law will be gone. Fiedler and his 6 mil will be gone. Jolley might get the axe. They have a very young secondary the 2 rooks and 2 2nd year guys. They will only get better and most are still pretty cheap. C. Martin will need to take a pay cut or he will be gone. Even if he stays it will be on a limited basis... Blaylock will prolly stay even though his cap number is high. Fabini needs to take a pay cut or he will be bounced. A jones will prolly get shifted back to RT and gragg will be cut. K Mawae needs to take a cut, and the jets need to find his replacement. Their guards are fine with moore and kendall. Chrebets retirement will trim some more. and thats about it. if they do all of whats listed it will give em like 5-12 million in FA money. Bottom line is they are no longer in SB mode. Expect a lot of their aging vets to be let go. Their Defense is generally young and well priced, but their offense does not have depth and they are being way overpaid. It will be a long offseason for them. This is definatly a rebuilding year for them...

This is true, AND...

That's the main reason why it would work.

Besides it would be the PERFECT most entertaining train wreck of all time.
We get to watch the jests implode and go even further down in flames, what could be better...

The only coaches who could keep TO under control I think are Parcells and Holmgren, and I doubt either one of them would have anything to do with him...

Maybe the Bears coach or the Bengals coach, but I doubt they would want him either. They're both diciplinarian type guys...

Saban could keep him under control. Whether he'd want to or not would be a different story.

Let him go there, screw their cap even more, and tear them apart like he did the Eagles. Fine by me.

That's interesting. I doubt T.O would want to go there though with the QB situation.
If I'm TO after I've embarrased two teams in three years I'd be happy to even get an offer.

I don't care how good the guy is. He's going to get a fragment of what he's worth in a contract and heavy incentives. Whichever team's Lawyer drafts the contract for TO won't have to work again. He'll be on every tv show and Sports Law conference there is!

I saw an article in the New York Daily News about that this Sunday. It was done by Gary Myers. It gets better, he also said the Jets should draft Leinhart and make a trade with the fins for Ricky Williams.

Something really mean in me wants TO there with Fiedler as his QB! Let the implosion begin!

This is just not true. You can't control someone who thinks that the rules doesn't apply to them. Read the transcripts from the arbitrator's ruling. The guy wouldn't even talk to his coach. He's a total imbecile. Saban should never consider signing a guy who would be total cancer for the team.

To be honest...T.O. can't get it any better than he did with the eagles. Mcnabb and that team were perfect for him. Theres only qa slecet few QBs who are better than mcnabb in the league so i honestly don't see where the hell T.O. can go that is going to be any better. He's not going to INDy so thats out. The vikings would take him, but would he go to the vikings. i mean its all just really stupid. T.o. messed up the best thing that ever happened to his career with philly, and he should just go rot in on some team.

I didn't even know the Jets were interested in T.O. to begin with. I thought they were in bad cap shape? I guess not because T.O. will not come cheap. Does anyone have any info on the Jets salary cap situation? The last thing I want is to face Terrell Owens twice a year.

Nobody is EVER in bad cap shape. That is the biggest myth out there. If you want a player or want to make a move, a team can. The cap is never a problem. Maybe you might have to cut a player or two or re-structure a guy or two, but this myth of "bad cap shape" is just that...a myth

I like the post about New York making a trade with us for Ricky Williams. What do they have that we would want besides draft picks? Besides, Ricky would hate playing for the Jets and would probably just pack it in until his contract expired. Lousy trade idea for the Jets. Oh wait...nevermind!
