LT prospect Staley impresses
Former Central Michigan left tackle Joe Staley had an impressive pro day workout on Thursday and the Dolphins, who have strong interest in him, were on hand, according to scout John Murphy of Yahoo! Sports.
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound Staley, a former tight end, was timed around 4.8 in the 40-yard dash and also had great times in agility drills. Staley also had a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-9 broad jump. He opted not to bench press after doing 27 reps at the combine
"That was probably one of the best all-around workouts I've seen by a big tackle in recent years," a veteran offensive line scout told Murphy. "He (Staley) moves around like a defensive back: light on his feet and just great movement skills and agility.
"My personal assessment would be that kid
