Maybe because performance is more important than talent? Bess and Hartline may not have "talent" in your estimation, but they have performed. And you prefer Ginn? Did you see him let a long pass go right through his hands last night? Did you see him fumble a punt without even being hit? This is what he has always done. If speed is talent, than he has it, but it does him and the team he plays for little good. I'll take no talent guys like Hartline and Bess all day long. My favorite Dolphin of the post-Marino era was Wes Welker, who keeps breaking NFL records, all with no talent.

You need both -- and it doesn't always have to be either or.

And so far in the Ireland era, this team has never performed well. They've never even finished a season with a winning record. As a matter of fact, four years in, we're about as good as we were when Ireland took the helm.
