No news out of the Cincinnati News yet around La’el Collins! Just that he visited. I think some major wheeling and dealing’s have to be going on with agents and as many teams possible. Come on Miaaaami! Git r done!!! Especially now w Von Miller news

What did i miss with von miller?

How does that affect us?

Yes we need to start signing some linemen…

My guess is all the agents are looking to get top $$$ for their clients.

All the T come with red flags between injury histories and/or coming of lackluster years so no team is willing to commit to the type of contract that would seal the deal.

As far as Miami, I don’t get the sense Grier has same urgency for an OL upgrade as most fans do.

If that’s the case, I wouldn’t mind seeing him sign Clowney and/or Wagner. Screw that let’s run it back on defense. Add players that have a chance to make the D special.

Tua still on his rookie contract. Swing for the fences adding possible impact players in which their contracts can be terminated in two years with little dead cap.

Besides Collins who comes with injury and substance abuse baggage the tackle market is grim. Sure there’s armstead but he’s on the wrong side of 30 with injury concerns. Bunch of stop gaps that aren’t very good. I know nobody wants to hear this but Miami might be better off developing what they have and pray their new oline coach is a miracle worker or Flores just truly sucked coaching O. Maybe we get some viable options with some camp cuts, always going to be rookies and guys that start playing well and all of a sudden they can save 8 million by playing the cheaper guy.

Raiders sign Tom Compton for 2.25 million 1 year. For that price as a swing OT/ OG or if our young guys don’t improve, he would’ve been worth it I think. Also a vet that knows McD’s blocking schemes well. Ah well, not a huge deal.

The draft is still a month away. I assume that influences some free agent signings.
If we do not sign a T in free agency how high do we think we will use a draft pick? 29?

If we don’t sign any OT, then 29 has to be OT. But that’s not ideal at all. We need to sign someone

That's one I would have liked to seen signed

How ironic our starting rt jesses davis is worth 3.6m

Shame on gm and coach for minimizing our ot position. They are critical for zone scheme siccess as run blockers
Davis can run or pass block from tackle position

If that's the plan (or lack thereof), someone need a beating, and if it doesn't work out, I will immediately start to question McDs competence as a HC. Just throwing another rookie out there, particularly one that isn't projected as a top prospect, on a line that is already a disaster, is not only foolish but is inviting failure as a unit.

While I do believe better coaching will/could turn at least a couple of these young guys around, it still isn't wise to put all your eggs in that basket.
