why not make the best OL in the draft our pick?

I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'
 
Two ideas that need to be permanently banned

1) We should NOT pass on the pick
2) We should NOT take a guard first overall

Guards are not nearly important as tackles, qbs or pass rushers, taking them in the first round is a stretch yet alone first overall.
 
worst case he is a RT

who does that sound like?

he is big, stronger than Clady and a better athlete than JLong

and he would come cheap

If it's not Vernon, wouldn't mind that at all. Take a look at him in this picture, and watch his tape and tell me how his not going to be better than Jake. I guess because everybody says Jake is the best Tackle in this draft, that's it. Not me, I think He has a much bigger upside than Long.
 
Why would we take a Guard #1 overall?

U r wrong with your worst case scenario. Sure, worse case for Jaske Long is he ends up being a RT.

Worse case for Albert is he winds up playing Guard which just happens to be what he is..... Go figure.

Don't get me wrong, I saw those 2 amazing games that he played at LT and HE LEFT ME in AWE..... Forget Jake Long's college career. Forget even Clady's. This cat who has played only 2 games at LT is the real deal baby!!!
 
I wouldn't be opposed to it if Jake was the alternative, as I think Albert may be a better NFL Left Tackle than Jake Long.

And no, I'm not crazy, but that should tell you how I feel about Jake as our pick.
 
I agree with that, initially I wanted to trade down and get him as I think he will be a better LT than Jake as well, he's very athletic and would have been a LT from day 1 had he not been playing with D'Brickashaw Ferguson. But now he's rumored to be going as high as #5, and I rather use a pick that high on Chris or Vernon.
 
he is a good player and if we could trade down i would like to get him but i think with #1 pick that would be a little bit of a reach
