If we don't win 4 out of the next 5 it will be inexcusable to keep this staff.

Offensive regression, not finishing games, the inability to play to our strengths, the sitting of draft picks, the scandals...

No way can we keep this staff unless they pull off the miracle of 9-7 which seems pretty unlikely...

Who's in for Chris Polian, Jon Gruden, Gary Kubiak and Lovie Smith? I am.
 
I'd rather keep Jeff Ireland than get Chris Polian. And I think Jeff Ireland needs to be gone yesterday.
 
Polian, Gruden, Lovie and Kubiak? Wow we get them all at once? A definitive who's who of Failure. Sign them all up, brah!
 
Polian got his team a SB, Lovie and Kubiak are just fine as coordinators, Gruden... well I just think he's had a lot of time to think of his mistakes back in TB.

What Super Bowl winner did Chris Polian build? Bill Polian built the Colts, then he got fired because ownership was tired of what they perceived to be underachieving in the playoffs. Chris Polian was given the GM gig 4-years ago, but didn't start making decisions until the year before he and his father were canned. Go look at some of the Polian's first-round draft picks the last 10-years. Awful. Couldn't build a defense worth a damn. By all means, come on down.

Do we want Lovie Smith's Cover 2 defense down here? No thanks, that trend has passed. And Kubiak? The guy is a walking, talking Fukushima nuclear meltdown. He had a warning stroke a few weeks ago. He hasn't been a coordinator for many years now and personally I want nothing to do with anything from the Shanahan tree, you see the messes they're presiding over?
 
Lovie Smith for DC no because I would want him as our HC. Chicago was stupid of letting him go. Look how bad that Defense has regressed.
 
They need to start with a Team President, Director of Football, Czar, whatever you want to call that person. Let him hire the GM and then they can put a coaching staff in place. If they go this route I am fairly certain the choice will be Marino. Like it or not, Ross knows he brings instant credibility to an organization that needs it desperately. Dan has expressed an interest in a front office job and the media would view this as the perfect match.

Guys a leader and there is no disputing that.

I do not have the answer for who the next head coach should be but I can tell you by the manner in which Philbin handled this media disaster, he is the farthest thing from a leader. He should have taken the bull by the horns and told everyone that he does not have the answers to all the locker room environment but he was accountable. He came up with some pretty weak statements when the team needed a leader and a point man to get them through the next 72 hours. Players do not want a coach they like but someone who leads. Philbin is a nice and honorable man but he is no leader.

Ireland - He misses more on FA and draft picks - we have seen his track record which should be a indicator of his future FA and draft picks. I hate to say this being a fan, time for a complete overhaul. This time, Ross needs to hire Gruden to advise him on picking a GM who is then responsible for a coach. The only Jersey's I would buy is Thomas, Marino or Warfield because the current players will have velcro on their jerseys... Just saying, the future is very dark for this once great franchise.
