The problem with this team is that the coaching staff has adjusted the offense to minimize Dauntes shortcomings.

They are playing way too safe. This reminds me exactly of how Chris Foerster adjusted the offense for AJ Feeley. All dink and dunk passing. No shots down the field. Total Vanilla. They arent taking any chances.

I dont know if its because Daunte's still injured physically or mentally, or maybe he was overrated to begin with. It seems like they are still trying to 'ease' Daunte back into his original form.

Let the offense play like its supposed to play. Turn it loose so either Daunte can put some points on the board or lay a Jurassic turd on the field. If that doesnt work, put it Harrington.

YES! YES! YES! I seriously believe that the single biggest problem right now is Mularkey! And I absolutely blame Saban for not fixing it. Since you can't get rid of anyone at this point in the season, and expect the season to improve, I would expect Saban to become more involved in the Offense and mandate that Mularkey 1) cut out the Bull**** trick plays until he can create an effective conventional run/pass game, 2) call more plays designed to slow down the opposing D and help the line, like screens, and maybe roll him out every once in a while, 3) Ram Ronnie Brown down the D's throat early and often, and 4) throw the deep ball a few times a quarter. I know the "it's not there" excuse but dammit, SOMETHING is ALWAYS there. It is about calling the right plays at the right time. The line wasn't a lot better last year. Opposing Ds just knew that Linehan would make 'em pay for being too aggressive. I don't buy that "the game is being called correctly but the players are not executing" garbage. I've seen PopWarner coaches call a better offensive game. And when the game is on the line, don't get cute. Go with the high percentage play. The fade to Chambers would be my pick.

Anyone have Saban's phone number so we can all call him and tell him we are getting tired of the lame-*** excuses?

I really dont think the staff is running the offense they would like to be running at this point. They have toned it down a great deal to help Daunte 'adjust.'

They really just need to pull out all the stops and let the chips fall where they may.

Yep, our offense stinks...
Have you noticed that our defense gives up big plays at critical
times?
And our defense is old, we will have to rebuild on that side of
the ball.

Culpepper doesn't have time to throw the short routs. how will he have time to throw the long ones?

Lol we need to rebuild a lot of stuf here. This team is pathetic. What sux is, by the time we fill the holes on O line, Qb is settled, Secondary, LB's the front four will be in wheel chairs, the recievers will be gone and old and we start over again. I am so embarrasses and upset. This team is friggin embarrassin. Why not let Daunte get healthy and put Joey in. He is a first round QB with a strong arm. We could actually throw the ball with a healthy QB. Anyways at 1 -3 were toast again this year. Go first round high picks. We should trade Zach and J.T. and get some high picks this year to build the future.

Daunte CANT throw the long balls, Did you guys not see the play at the end of the 1st half? He didnt even get it into the End Zone from the 50.
