I was watching the videos of the last OTAs and it appears that Drew Mormino and Tala Esera are being used at LG and RG with the second team. Tala Esera was seeing time at RG backing up Hadnot while Mormino was seeing time at LG behind Liweinski. Both players were practicing with the second team. This makes me real happy because I would like for both these
kids to be anchors on our O-line for a long time, especially Mormino.

Tala will hopefully provide us with a back-up at RG behind Hadnot. The kid is natural leader and can play multiple position on the line. While at Hawaii he was their starting LT and one of the Team Leaders.

Another thing I'm real happy to see is Mormino with the second team playing LG. While at Central Michigan Mormino saw time at the position next two a player we heavily recruited named Joe Staley. Alot of scouts really liked Mormino's talent at G, so Im very happy to see Houck is not wasting any time with this kid. What a draft this could be if we found are starting C and LG in Satele and and Mormino. Personally Mormino is a better fit at LG then Satele cause of weight and height.

While I know these are practices and the pads are not on, it is exciting to see our line taking shape and two young rookie prospects practicing with the second team. As it stands right now it is begining to look like our line will be looking like this:

Carey Toledo
Liweinski Mormino
Satele Ingram
Hadnot Esera
Shelton Alabi.

It's amazing that our team has finally made a committment to draft guys and sign free agents to upgrade the offensive line. You gotta love it! Shula would do it occasionally. Jimmy didn't do it. Wanny didn't do it. Nicky didn't do it. Although I recall that under Saban , once the season started, they would bring in an offensive lineman every week for a tryout but nothing materialized. You can't fix things during the season! You gotta do it now! And that's what it looks like we're doing.

I dont know but I feel alot more confident this year about our o-line then last year. I have seen Carey play LT before and I have stated on here before and read the same statement by Houck recently, the only reason Carey was pulled from LT was because Mcintosh and Mcdougle could not play RT. When Houck came here his LT was Carey. I personally love Hadnot at G were he really excelled his second year and Satele steping up at C is a blessing. One more thing Shelton excelled at RT in Arizona but was move cause of their lack of LT and how high he was drafted. If you guys remember when Shelton was moved to Right side of the line he really showed promise. I hope we are set at our line for a while.....

They have made a commitment at the entire offense overall and it was about damn time....

Joe Staley also said that Mormino was the most talented Olinemen at Central Michigan when they were there.

i feel so confident in our team this year lol . i dont know why but i feel so good about them. i just hope they produce all this talent on the field.

I am also happy to see more young talent on the offesnive line. With a pick or two next year we could have a stron young offenive and defensive line.

While I personally like Hadnot, I think you guys might be forgetting how many false starts he had at RG when he played there. That was part of the reason he was moved to C. It is hard to false start when you are the one hiking the ball.

Considering that he was, at one point in the off-season, our starting Left Tackle, I'll go as far as saying that Anthony Alabi will be our starting right tackle.

I could see the starting right tackle thing. Barring injury, I say he definitely at least makes the roster.

I doubt he can beat out shelton At RT. I don't think he is a definate to make the roster or we would not be moving other guys into the positions he can play. Shelton and Carey make roster. I can see Rosenthal, Wilson or Toledo beating him for a roster spot.

cam and meuller are brilliant guys. they brought in a great coaching staff so the young players can play up to their potential. there doing good things
