Lets take a look at position by position. who ya got?

QB: Pats-Brady over Henne- Easy
RB: Even- Bush>Woodhead, Green-Ellis=Daniel Thomas.. Its even 'cause with the Fins its all based on potential
WR: Dolphins
TE: Pats
OL: Pats
DL: Dolphins
LB: Dolphins
CBs: Dolphins- way too much churning with their DBs.
Safeties: Dolphins- Watch out for Chung though

We should have a much better defense. But they have Brady, same story every year. Hopefully, the difference this year is Daboll. His offense is the great mystery. Last time we unveiled a mysterious offense, the wildcat helped us blow out the Pats at home!

i agree with everything you said.. one thing you didnt put was special teams... edge- patriots

Special Teams will come to who gets better field position and I will put my $ on Fields pinning them back. What other punter in the NFL got his team a win last year other than ours? BF was money in that game against the Jets, he is the 1st punter I actually pay any mind to.

You must not remember the great Reggie Roby. That guy was money.

Thanks for a thread about the game and match ups......

ST=Pats
Coaching=Pats until we see how Daboll attacks
Depth=Fins

We can win this game if the offense can put some points on the board, my over/under is 24....if we can score at least 24 points we win the game.

So, um... where's the tape?

Even when doing matchups I find it useless to compare QB to QB, for instance. Compare QB to pass rush and DB coverage, Brady is never going one on one against Henne...

Patriots running back is trash, i cant believe u think we are even with them in that category.

Green-Ellis had over 1,000 yards last year. Thomas has 0. Green-Ellis > Thomas

They hold the biggest advantages, in the two most important areas, QB and Coaching.

i suggest we try do to new england what i think they're gonna try to do to us...spread us out with single back sets and multiple wrs and try to attack our 3rd and 4th cbs...if we want to have success we better go to some 4 wide sets etc and get their weaker corners on the field...and be careful with devin mccourty...you go to that well too much and he'll be dancing in the endzone

new englands gonna spread us out and try and get safeties matched up with their tes in coverage and brady when he sees a jimmy wilson or a nolan carroll on the field is gonna test them and attack...you can guarantee that...these guys will be getting tested on the outside a plenty

wake me up when Daniel Thomas rushes for 1,000 yards.

Pats RB >>>> Miami not close

along with Ridley, Woodhead and possibly Faulk

The 2TE offense they run is geared towards getting favorable matchups for their inside guys, that's correct. One important thing is that Welker is going to be a bit off for the game due to his injury so that might give us a big break on coverage.

As long as they keep Bush on the backfield (even if just at the beginning, to get him a favorable matchup against a LB) they can spread out as much as wanted.

I thought Faulk retired and that's why they drafted Vereen?

Either way Pats have better running backs and a better O-line to block for their running backs.

What i think might play a big part in the outcome is the weather, right now they say thunderstorm. That might mess up both teams trying to attack through air. If the weather is bad its going to suck cause i wanted to see our new offensive scheme in reg season. But if the game is going to come down to field position, running and defense i give the dolphind the edge. Lets go MIAMI woop woop
