In the world of real estate, the experts will always tell you that the secret to success is location, location, location. In the NFL, it is talent, talent, talent.

This mantra was never more apparent than last night. After circling the globe, playing nomad, and generally escaping reality, his Highness Ricky Williams, reminded us vividly that talent is what ultimately decides victory and success in the NFL. Even after dropping out for a year, playing about 15 lbs lighter, and not near the physical and mental condition he used to be in, Ricky still shined against a very good defense last night for one reason - he is an extremely talented football player.

On the other hand, virtually every other back on the Dolphins roster, except possibly Sammy Morris, even after a year of major efforts to succeed, showed us the 2 yards and dust we saw frequently last year.

All the coaching, schemes, and disguises in the world will not make up for a lack of talent. It is a misconception to think that Bellichick did it with smoke and mirrors. Yes, the Patsies have been an incredibly lucky team, and I give Bellichick a tremendous amount of credit, but their O-line has never looked our line, Brady has never resembled AJ or Gus, and the Patsies have always had a great defense under Belly. True, he has certainly got the most of his players and his coaching and scheming have been outstanding, but Belly still had talent to work with.

The Dolphins are short on raw, natural talent. Simple and plain. But...things are looking up. A great draft and great coaching staff will equal future success. In the meantime, we will all have to find a location, location, location to scream and cry when our Dolphins who do not have enough talent, talent, talent struggle through this rebuilding year.

Ricky is more mentally stable and strong than he ever has been.. Even if some of his answers might seem odd to many of us.

it matters where you're looking, you can say o-line may be lacking some, qb is another area. and some parts of the secondary. But then Wr/Te is loaded with talent, and well the two starting rbs, hopefully R.Brown will sign and get his but in camp could be a pretty talented duo. JT is one of the most talented DEs in the league, ZT, Crowder, Roth upcoming talent, the line isn't too bad, I don't know where all this lack of talent talk is about, yes there is a lack in certain areas, but other areas are one of the most talented, we have to bump up, or fill in some areas if we can, or atleast improive the performance on some of the weaknesses.
