Talk About a Tough Schedule! We Played Against 28 of 37 Pro Bowlers

Man they weren't kidding when they said we would have a VERY tough schedule this year. Out of the 13 AFC Pro bowlers in the "skill" positions (QB, RB, WR, FB), we faced 10 of them (77%). The only ones we didn't see were Ray Rice, Le'Ron McClain, and Brandon Marshall.

If you then include the other positions on offense (T, G, C - 7 people not including Jake Long) we have basically faced 15 of the 20 (75%) AFC Offensive Pro bowlers.

Add in AFC Defense (17 players) and we have faced 13 (76%) of them (including the Pitts game).

Basically we played against 28 of the possible 37 (75%) AFC Offensive and Defensive Pro Bowlers. (Not including Jake Long).

Throw on top of that the injuries we have had, and slighty chemistry issues (Wilson not playing up to par, #88 out for the year, Ginn not producing for starters) it threw things out of wack. Foundation is laid! Now they need the playmakers in key spots to take em to that next level!

Not surprising. When you look at the strenght (Mia .554) of schedual percentage only Tampa appears to have faced opponents with a higher percentage (.557).

What should be noted is that Miami only had one Pro Bowl player on this years team. If we we are going to make a deep run in the playoffs we neen more play makers and more defensive players that will step up in key situations. The fact that we blew a huge lead to the Saints and the fact that we let the Texans get up 27-0 speaks loud volumes about our team and that is they didn't have the heart to compete for a Super Bowl title this year.
In order to take the next step, we need to get some players that know how to win. I feel that was something this team was lacking this year. To let a team get up 27-0 at its home stadium with playoff implications was just pathetic, after that we didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. If we were a quality team we would have found a way to beat the tough teams, such as Bufflo!

Gotta agree with most of what u said here...minus the "heart" thing...if we didn't have heart we would never have been able to comeback in any of those games and pull out a victory...but I do agree that we need PLAYMAKERS.

the number of Pro Bowlers is irrelevant. if our team had won 11 or 12 games, we would have had more Pro Bowlers, deservingly or not.

i agree we need more talent though.

Some people just dont realize how this team is being built.. some people think we took a step back. wrong. EVERYTHING went our way last year, schedule, calls, injuries. it was a perfect storm. This year nothing is going our way, one of the hardest schedules, injuries to our QB, RB, CB, NT, ILB, C, RB2, OLB (porter). For example, take off Tom Brady, Laurance Maroney, Lee Boden, Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, Dan Koppen, Kevin Faulk, and Adelius Thomas, what do you think the pats record would be? this just shows our depth, we are one of the youngest teams as well.

We were built through the trenches and depth, IMO, the right way. A team like the Lions , who is being built through skill positions, (Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Kevin Smith) are loosing lots of games and are terrible at the LOS.

Look at our team, the entire foundation is there. Add in a NT (terrence Cody, Dan Williams, or a vet) WR (Boldin, Dez Bryant, Antonio Bryant, Golden Tate), TE (aaron Hernandez, Jimmy Graham, Dennis Pitta) FS (???????????) LB ( Karlos Dansby, Barret Rudd, Ricky Sapp, George Selvie, Sergio Kindle, Brandon Spikes, Micah Johnson) and this team is set. Then you add luxuries. I think next season we will make it out of the first round and the following season could be a championship run..

The lines are built. The Offensive and defensive backfields are in place. We got a good cone and some low fat ice cream. We gotta fatten up that ice cream with some backer and sprinkle on a playmaker. Draft and sign right and we will be a winning team for a while.

It is just in some games it looked like we didn't come to play. Like in the 2nd half of the Saints game, and in the texans game, and against the Colts. The way our defense played in some of our games this year was very unprofessional. As an NFL player how can you explain being down 27-0 in the first half at home. The effort put out in that game was horrible! If were are going to make the playoffs next year we need to hire a coach that will teach our defensive players how to tackle!
