I want the media to start asking questions directly to Mike Tannebaum. I want questions to be addressed to Chris Grier. I know the fair share of blame needs to get to Adam Gase on playcalling and from
a situational standpoint. But I think chris and mike need to be questioned about cap usage and how the roster was addressed entering this season.

Do you demand to talk to the studios when they put out a turd of a movie?

Or demand to talk to the artist when their album sucks?

Football is a lot like the two - entertainment, pure and simple. Other than paying for a ticket, Sunday Ticket or whatever, most of us don't have a whole lot invested in it to be demanding things.

They are questioned just not by you and other fans!

Maybe some of those "idiots" could ask him not to waste 1st round picks on guys like Harris?

That’s cool advice that would totally be useful in his day-to-day management of the team.

That is absolute nonsense I am sorry. Sports teams may be owned by some rich billionaire or whomever but they very much belong to the fans. We are all invested deeply emotionally with our sports teams, the fans are the lifeblood of those teams without them there is no product. The fans have every right to demand that the team (whomever that is) that represents them makes them proud. This idea that Sports institutions are just businesses is very very wrong and dangerous for the longevity of the sport in question.

Doesn't Gase have final say on the roster...which means he has some skin in the draft room as well.

IMO as long as sport teams carry the name of a city it makes it 100% different from other entertainment forms. I'm a fan of the Miami Dolphins and I have been following the team my whole life. I have invested tons of man hours watching this team and tons of money on merchandise and tickets to games. Therefore, there's more way more emotion at stake when the Miami Dolphins bomb as there would be if DiCaprio's new movie sucks. I really couldn't give the proverbial rat's *** if Leo's new film is a loser but if the Dolphin's lose I'm very upset!! Because I am so invested financially, mentally, emotionally and otherwise I have every right to come to this site and tell the Miami Dolphins how to run their team. Luckily they don't listen to me!

Hahahahahaha

The arrogance and entitlement of fans. “We are emotionally invested, we have a right...”. If you don’t like what you see, don’t watch, don’t spend money on merch, don’t go to the game. Fans make me laugh.

Maybe this attitude is different in the US. I don't see it as arrogance at all. Newcastle United for example, my hometown team and very much part of my sporting passion. Has been in existence for more than 125 years. They were formed by local people and have been the lifeblood of the city, they have rich tradition and have been the team that represent the population in a very proud area of England. That club is now owned by a rich billionaire, with no connection to the area, who is using it as merely an advertising vehicle for his other business, he has no desire to invest in the club and it's apathtically going through seasons of not really competing in similar (and sometimes worse) fashion to our 8-8 forever dolphins. Despite this they post full houses of 50,000 every other week (40 -50 game seasons), these fans are far from rich, from a very working class city. He has no desire to make the club great again. He's killing the club and the community which is completely linked to it. It's an absolute tragedy.

Sporting institutions like the Dolphins represent the communities they hail from, they are linked and as a member of that community (which most fans are) they have an absolute right to expect that their team at the very least projects a positive image of South Florida, they shouldn't want to be a laughing stock. It has nothing to do with how much money you invest, sports is an emotional entertainment that loses all it's appeal without the tribalism that is generated by teams that represent communities.

You can't just switch of these passions for your team, if you can then you were not a real fan to begin with.

While I agree spamming the GM with messages from thousands of fans wouldn't be useful, it did give me an interesting idea. It would be cool if the fans could vote for a "team representative" that has a bit more access to the inner workings. I'd vote CK in all day.
