My Biggest issue with the Tannanbaum's hire is how he is going to affect the 2015 HC search.

Once we fire Philbin in the future (which i have no doubt because he is a horrible HC), Will any High Profile Head Coaching canidates(outside of maybe Rex) really want to come work under Tannanbaum? or are we going to get stuck with secondary or even 3rd level canidates?

I hate the Tannebuam hire, but if we hired a 2nd or 3rd tier coach it would be a step up.

Rex is a 3rd level candidate. We could also get Mangini or maybe Rich Kotite will come back and coach for the Dolphins. Herm Edwards is another possibility...we'll have plenty of 3rd level candidates to choose from but like many around here have said...anyone's better than Philbin.

Don't know, but it's all in the perception. And I personally don't know how he is perceived throughout various league circles.

Tannenbaum or no Tannenbaum, why would any first-rate coach want to come to the Dolphins? Tannenbaum's not the problem.

Sadly, Rex Ryan is the best we can hope for with the current org leadership in place

Salvaged from the jest dumpster.. with a clueless owner actually giiving him a defacto promotion following a long overdue firing for cause, then having to resort to sports agentry after his inability to secure another GM job? He sure as hell ain't the solution either!!!

Ross as an owner is the equivalent of the ringmaster that is trying to fit as many clowns into the tiny car as possible.
Congrats

Head coach isn't under Mr. Tannenbaum. Reports directly to Mr. Ross.

Tannenbaum and Ross are tag team buddies. Apont doesn't seem to mind.

Oh hey, look, another Tannenbaum thread...

Yeah, that's the way I see it.

Any coach who isn't just desperate to get hired will have reservations, and then some more reservations, and then a few pages of reservations, then a 2 terabyte hard drive filled with reservations about working for Mr Ross,
and their agent if he is worth anything will have MANY MORE reservations.

Last year Ross hired a GM after a long GM search. The GM did a very good job, but look at what Mr Ross has decided to do the very following year.

Not only did he decide to stick his hands in the pot and butt in, but look at who he hired.

A guy who has been out of the NFL because he was canned and no other team wanted to hire him. Ross didn't just hired him but hired him as a VP.
