Tannehill 12TDs Last Year 11 TDs through 7 games This Year

Yes, we lost 4 in a row. Yes, we haven't played good football.

But, am I the only one who is encouraged by this?

- He is on pace for 25td passes this year....Can anyone tell me the last time we had a qb throw 25 touchdowns?

- I see our offense getting better this year and Ryan getting better. HAVING SAID THAT,

He needs to correct this turnover bug he has caught. I can count at least 3 Ints that came in garbage time so, and lets face it all qbs throw picks from time to time. It is the fumbles that are scary. Yes, a lot has to do with the offensive line, but he needs to hold on to the ball.
 
Definite Improvement, from TD every 40 passes last year to one every 25 passes this year.

Gibson had 3 of them. I wonder who is going to pick up the slack to keep this going.

now we get to see what Matthews brings to the table! It's about time.
 
I'm very encouraged. He's picked up his game. Even though I feel that he is being handcuffed and pigeon-holed into being a pocket passer with a bad o-line, I feel that Tannehill has been looking extremely sharp on most drives. Still makes some dumb decisions, but he's gotten much better.
 
Mathews needs to step up, but i would also love to see a TE like Egnew or anybody step up and split the field for our WRS
 
One of the areas he is showing significant improvement. Unfortunately, many posters can only focus on the mistakes he is making and overlook the growth.
 
I've had a bad few days on my thoughts about him, but I'm starting to get hopeful again. If he can just limit the turnovers ....

Well said. The TO's are killing this team right now. Despite them RT is improving but he needs way more time (seasons) to develop.
 
On pace for just as many picks, that's not good. I expected a much better TD:INT ratio than almost 1 to 1.

Also, pocket presence and awareness seems to have gone into regression

Oh I'm pretty sure he is aware of the pocket crashing by his 3d step back.

This. TO's make or break seasons, right now they're breaking this one.
