Tannehill and Crabtree - a little history

Saw in another thread where some were suggesting the 'Fins go after Michael Crabtree. There's a little history/connection between them:

Tannehill is from West Texas and wanted to play for Tx Tech but they never offered him a scholly as QB. When A&M offered, he went there and played WR for a couple years while waiting in the wings for his chance at QB. Crabtree is from Dallas and was a QB in high school- went to Texas Tech as a WR.

Their paths crossed only once, a 2008 meeting in College Station won by Texas Tech 43-25. Their WR stat line:


Crabtree: 8 catches, 71 yards.... 8.9ypc..... 2 TDs..... Long of 25 yds

Tannehill: 5 catches, 104 yards.... 20.8 ypc.... 1 TD.... Lonf of 44 yds

Honestly this doesnt mean anything at all in terms of their chemistry or anything if Crabtree came to the fins
 
Where are you going with this? I thought you were going to bring up something about them having some sort of history where they knew each other or were friends.
 
I think he just wanted to post an interesting tidbit. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sorry to disappoint some of you- you're going to have to pick up a National Enquirer I guess to get the really good stuff! :rolleyes2:

As some said, this was just a little info for what-the-heck. I do think it's interesting though if he came here and RT is his QB, to think back when they both lit it up on the same field as WRs. I'm sure that Tannehill and Crabtree have probably met several times besides that, and may even be football compadres.
