Someone was complaining a few weeks ago about the constant slogans we have each year. Every team does this, right?

Gase's eyes lit up when speaking on a lot of guys coming back.

Good spot I will rename the thread

I like Congemi but he is a boring interviewer, they should have kept Likens

"zero in"

Adam Gase loves his catchphrases. And when he finds one that works, he sticks with it.
Three things were constant at Dolphins camp in 2016.
The sun would rise in the east, set in the west, and Gase would wear a team-issued T-shirt with the word STRAIN on the front.
His explanation at the time:
“It’s just something that we’ve been kind of talking about, probably since training camp. [Strength and conditioning coach Dave] Puloka kind of jumped on it and we were just talking about finishing every play, straining every play, making sure that we were just selling out and it kind of became one of those sayings a lot of guys are using as far as making sure that we are straining every play. Our biggest thing that we keep talking about is, you never know when that one play is going to make a difference in the game.”

What’s it mean? Gase hasn’t been asked about it, but he may have hinted at the thinking behind it Monday when he sat down for an interview with the team’s in-house video department.

Ryan Tannehill appeared on camera today wearing a ZERO IN shirt.
Here’s his explanation:

Anything is better than "feed the wolf" or whatever the f*** we have used in the sparano / philbin era

I like it because it focuses on details, all the little things that separate losers from winners, also-rans from the Patriots.
And we all know how the NFL is now- the slightest mistake, one play, one error, can cost a game. It's how the Patriots repeatedly win- they just don't make those stupid mistakes. When they lose, it's because they get beat. They don't make it easy for anyone by beating themselves.

When you watch that video of Gase, he has some intense eyes...

Ryan explained it as zeroing in on the small details that can make a huge difference.

But it also says "0-0" on the shirt, which Gase has talked about before, and it's basically about how none of what we did last year matters anymore, we're back to 0-0 and no one will care that we won 10 games last year. We have to start over.

Cool stuff.

While I think the team might take a small step back this year because of a tougher schedule (yes, I know it varies from year to year,) I think that the rest of the NFL is soon going to understand what most of us already see:

Adam Gase is a non-nonsense, bad-ass, SMART coach.

Same. I like Congemi too, but the one thing that irks me with this new Audibles show is that Bokamper is the face of it. The one that never show up when requested on the finsiders, would call an hour before the show starts to say he wasnt coming, etc etc. And when he is on the air he's thoughts are random and unorganized. of ALL the people that could have taken over the new show, he should have been the very last option. And still, if I do listen to the show, I cringe almost all the way through it.

I am pretty confident we will have a top 10 offense this year. I also watched the Julius Thomas interview. I like him....good kid. He and Fasano will be a big part of pulling this offense together this year.
