There have been some significant changes on the Dolphins offense since the end of last season. Those include the addition of a Pro Bowl left tackle, the first-round pick tackle, a veteran running back coming off a 1,000-yard season, a new offensive coordinator and, perhaps most significant of all, a different scheme.

In the middle of it all, Ryan Tannehill remains the trigger man.

The 2012 first-round pick is heading into his third season as the Dolphins’ starting quarterback and he’s excited about the changes and the potential they present.

“It’s fun,” Tannehill said after an offseason practice. “Just the way things turned out last year wasn’t what we were looking for. Personally, from a team standpoint, from an offensive standpoint, (it’s nice) to come out, kind of have a fresh start, new identity, new offense with really talented players across the board. You look at our roster, especially on the offensive side of the ball, you see a stacked receiver room, brought in Knowshon (Moreno) in the backfield, the guys up front that we brought in are really talented players and I’m just excited I get to play with them.

“I think just last year in general, we underperformed as a team,” he said. “We had a lot of games that we should have won and I think that kind of started a fire in us. We had a lot of guys returning, added a bunch of good pieces and we see the potential of this team. We see that we have the playmakers that can take us a long way. Now, it’s just a matter of putting the pieces together and winning games.

The day I really look forward to is the first game. That’s the day we really get to show off what we have.”

Man, I hope this new offense is good, and there is something to "show off", though with the injuries it still may be tough to get going. I sure wouldn't mind the Dolphins hanging about 50 points on the Patriots.

what he should embrace are the Tom Brady/Peyton Manning ways of studying/practicing/playing the quarterback position.. along with the offensive changes.. just sayin

an' we coulda/shoulda got Donald Brown.. same $$ for 3yrs paid Knoshow for 1.. plus younger stronger legs.. again, just sayin

Good thing they specified "Knowshon (Moreno)". I thought they might've meant one of the other Knowshons...

It's (Knowshon) a pretty common name as opposed to something obscure...like Steve, for example.

You have absolutely no idea how Tannehill's study/practice habits compare to those of Brady or Manning. Just sayin'.

man you should be our GM, then we'd finally win a super bowl. Just sayin

Please football gods posses Mr.Tannehill that game! Have him go 23/34 283 or 318 Yards 2 TD-0 INT, 1 RSH TD and us win 27-0... ok 27-17 hahah.

Ryan finished 25-37 for 312 yards with 3 td's and 0 ints in last years win over the Patriots, so you're numbers would be right in line with what he's already done.

Well according to most of the national media we should just pack it in and wait for next season. Nothing to look forward to this season, as we will be drafting a QB in the top 5 and Philbin will be out of a job.
Colin Cowherd predicted a 5-11 record and last in the division. His main supporting evidence was our QB position. He actually felt that the Jets and Bills have better QB's. If so, then RT is a MAJOR bust, because Smith/Vick, EJ Manuel are nothing to brag about.
